Ok I need some advice
over the past 9 months i have been on a very strick diet of about 1500 cal a day (spread over 5 or 6 meals) I have been walking 8 miles a day (hour in the morning hour at night) It has been very sucessful I am 6'7" and weighed 370 lbs I now at at 230. I want to start on sculpting exercises, but I have no weights what would be the best way to go on a limited budget I dont want to look like a body builder but I would like to look good at the lake. Any sugestions?
Wicker,
If your on a limited budget and don't want to pay ridiculous gym membership fees you should invest in a pair of dumb-bells. You can hit every muscle group with this piece of equipment and what's more they are far more effective than any machine available. To find out what exercises you can do, check out the guide on this site.
It is also a good idea to invest in a gym bench as you will be able to do a broader range of exercises (i.e. bench press/flys).
One more thing, a far simpler (and of course cheaper) method of sculpting your body is to merely use your body weight as resistance (i.e. press-ups targets chest/triceps). Again check out this site for additional examples...let me know what you think

With the low calorie diet you are eating and all that walking you are not going to look like a bodybuilder. Your body won't build much muscle. Strength training will be good though.
No equipment is even needed. Some dumbbells or medicine balls would be helpful if you can afford them. I've designed entire strength training routines for people wih no equipment at all. There are lots of good body weight exercises, and heavy household items such as can and waterbottles can be used for resistance.
