Genetics. Not a lot you can do about it.

Besides why are you concerned? What;'s wrong with being 5ft 6"? I'm taller than that, but I don't see it as a problem for people who are your height.

Its not about being 5ft 6inch.The problem which i am facing is, that all of friends are taller than me and I am the only one who is the shortest so it looks very odd.

same problem dude. all friends are atleast 3 inches taller than me. and im out of shape and im also 5'6", so not only am i short, but i look horrible.

but i know some people at school whos 5'5"/5'6"/5'7", but theyre in really good shape (buff, athletic, etc) so they dont look odd, or horrible, or whatever u wanna call it.

so, basically thats what im shooting for. just lose a ton of fat and work on "looking good" and staying healthy.

What workouts do you practice? Try doing Pilates or Yoga, it'll help in improving your posture which can make you look taller, and I guess you shouldn't be worrying too much about it coz 5'6" for me is an average height.

Only bone stretching (extending your limbs using metal rods) can increase your height, but its excruciating pain and its not worth it just to gain a couple of inches, im also 5ft 6in and most friends are taller than me, but height isnt everything.

I heard someone wanting to be an airline stewardess did that, as she was about 1" too short.

Definitely is not reccomendable in opinion.

I'm 18 years old and i'm 5'6 on a good day. All friends are in the 5'9 - 6'2 range for the most part. You just need to accept the fact that your short and it's probably not going to change. I play football and i'm lined up to play college football next year. I'm a little more concerned about the size of the people i'll be getting hit by/hitting than how i look while walking next to teammates. Nothing wrong with being short dude. I overcome it with knowledge of the game rather than brute force.

I agree. Although for some sporting disciplines height can be a little bit of a difficulty, which shouldn't hinder someone from doing it, if they have god natural talent, but it might prevent them reaching the very pinnacle of a sport.

actually, it is all about genetics, however, you can stimulate your height growth. Stretching your legs, jumping exercises and fish oil can help stimulate your growth. Also remmeber the intake of your nutritions and so on. Good luck!
