Weight Loss Question

Post by tnfirefighter »

Is it actually possible to lose inches around your mid section and not lose weight? Or to lose fat and not lose weight? Im doing the Waterbury thing and have been hitting it pretty hard. I gained around 4 pounds while I was vacating in Disney World. (no place to work out and ate like a horse) But since Ive been back Ive lost 6 pounds and since then I havent lost another pound, maybey Im expecting to much too quick. I know diet is right on. I have been following what boss man and swanso have put out there. Is it possible Im gaining as much muscle as Im losing fat? Swanso has said not to count calories, I know Im creating a deficit cause Im only eating between 2200-2500 cals. Im running sprints 3 days a week also. So Is it possible? According to mesurements the only place Im losing is in /waist line.

Muscle might take up less space, but to knowledge it's physically impossible for 5lbs of anything, to weigh more than 5lbs of anything else, the emphasis being 5lbs.

Not being a grouch, as you know, that's not style, but if two things weigh the same, how can one be heavier? It logiclaly makes no sense.

It's like comparing a kg of feathers and a kg of gold, still 1kg, just different size and / or density, but same weight of both.

Five pounds of fat is roughly the size of a loaf of bread, whereas five pounds of muscle is about the size of your hand.

i think that she explains it there. The right expression would be that "fat is more dense than muscle" i think.
