Post by Kid Muscle14 »

Hi fellow lifters..

name is mike and I need advice on workout routine..
routine is.

first stretching then a warm up for about 5-10 minutes
then I start with abs ..I do different ab exercises so that they dont get used to it.
then start with the weights.

1Lying raise
2.those bend up things with the dumbells.then I work on lats.
3.bench press
5.dumbbell press
6.shrugs
7.over head press.
8.bicep curls
9.dumbbell curls.

is this a good work out . goal is to build muscle but not a whole lot..and to increase endurance and strength.,I want to be a pro wrestler one day and I want to start training early..any advice..

thnx

- don't stretch before lifting, it only makes you weaker...do warm up sets instead
- ab exercises aren't neded, core exercises do though
- if you want to be a pro wrestler than you need a lot of bulk which will obviously have you looking better which is a pre requisite as well as making your landings 'cushioned"
- for a program search The Waterbury Method by Chad Waterbury and do that
- what are you eating?

protein - eggs, turkey, pork, red meat, chicken, fish, sardines, tuna, salmon...eggs, tuna, sardines and salmon can be easily stored and prepared so these should be the one's you take with you to school and they only take 2mins to eat too

carbs - oatmeal (breakfast), sugary cerial (immediately after training only), fruit (any but only for 1st 2 meals of the day), veg/salad (any with the rest of your meals after meal 2 but not meal immediately after training)
healthy fats - avocado, fish, nut, almonds, walnuts etc (save for latermin the day as they slow tour digestion so you won't have tendencies to eat something shitty at night

sample:

1 (as soon as you get up) - banana, oatmeal
2 - apple, 2 - 3 boiled eggs
3 - chicken breast, veg, salad
4 - tuna salad, veg
5 - steak, veg, salad
6 - fish, veg, salad

post training meal - protein shake with water, sugary cerial...this meal will simply be inserted after each time you train then go back to whatever meal you're up to..only on wt days though

- you'd actually be surpised how weak some of them would be...i reckon there would only be 5 max of them who could bench double their bw
- there's no point being 300pds but only 6ft even
- they would rather you look good than look big like jonny nitro
- the best way is to progresiivly overload (increase wt etc) and eat more cal's than your expending....do this and your body has no choice but to adapt by getting bigger and stronger...it's not hard really
