Help me with protein

Post by agries »

First of all, I'm sorta a picky eater which doesn't exactly help much. I've been wondering about what to each with each meal to get protein. Eating chicken all day long, every day gets really boring really fast. I absolutely hate tuna in a can, won't eat it if you paid me. Now I know every meal's supposed to contain a solid protein source, so even though it has a decent amount of protein, i assume having milk with breakfast doesn't count? Then around 10:30ish I'll always have an apple, would some cashews with it be a good protein source? For lunch I usually have a turkey or chicken sandwich with lettuce on it. I gotta admit I'm kinda lacking in the afternoon meal, at least try to have some nuts or a protein bar(which I know everyone claims are crap). Then at night I'll have some sort of chicken, or a piece of steak, or some salmon with a salad. Then later on some whole wheat crackers with hummus. Any help would really be appreciated. I'm trying so hard, but getting really bored with food sometimes.

Fresh Fish

Egg Whites

Trimmed Steak

Skinless Chicken

Turkey Ham

Lean Sliced Turkey

Soybeans, Tofu and Tempeh

Remember that the last three have quite a lot of Healthy Fats, as don't be too tempted to add Nuts or Avocado or Oils to meals with these in, or it might be Fat overkill.
