I'm fairly new to HIIT. I'm on second week on it. I also lift, early in the morning before going to work. In relation to lifting weights, when should I do HIIT? Before, after lifting, or somewhere in between? Does it matter? I read somewhere that you're not supposed to eat before you do it, and you can't eat within 1 hour after you finish HIIT. Is that true?
Since I started doing HIIT, hours later, like late morning/early afternoon, throat feels noticeably warmer than usual. It feels like I just finished working out, but without the rapid heart beat and the faster breathing. Is this normal? I hope it means that it's working 'round the clock for me.

- always eat before training
- always do wts first in session or day ids training twice a day
- i eat after all workouts, wts or sprints...if you've done it properlky you'll at least still need a high protein / low carb shake at the very least
- it's probaby metabolism increase which is what it's all about

recommendation is to do them at separate times of the day is possible so you can be at your best for both. Honestly if you are having a rapid heart beat and not feeling right hours after HIIT, and it continues, see your doc. That isn't necessarily normal, and the heart is NOT something you want to mess with. I did HIIT without checking with doc first, and discovered I have a heart condition. I'm lucky doing HIIT didn't kill me. It's not for everyone.
