deadlifts, squats, other exercises w/ lifting belts
how important are these? i know w/o them it can cause back problems but since i never did these before do i need one since i won't be doing that much weight? should i get one once i start going higher weights? also, people told me they do more bad then good but i dont think thats true.
Exercises like those are only a problem when you do them badly, do them when injured, or use a weight belt on non-max lifts.
So if you can do them, do do them, but only use a belt on things like Deadlifts, for big maxes like 1-6 rep maxes, shouldn't need a belt for higher reps than 6, if you're doing then right, and shoiuldn't really need a belt for Squatting.

I don't even know how a belt could assisst me ?swanso5 wrote:i wouldn't even use a belt for them and i don't...i work up to 3rm's almost weekly and have never used a belt...using the belt will only limit what your core can handle like the weakest link in a chain
And by the way swanso I'm filming 400lbs deadlifts on friday !
