Most any brand of glutamine is good. One teaspoon after working out and one before bed, unless you work out late int he day. Then you can have one upon waking instead of before bed.
Glutamine is basically the same the world over so to speak, the only difference is if you get, one companies product costing more, or if they do maybe those Buy One Get One Free BOGOF deals on 100g ones.
I've had those before, which can sometimes make them cheaper than a 500g tub, but in general bulk buying of most things is cheaper, so I'd just go for a brand you trust, like if you've used a companies products before, use their brand Glutamine, and buy something like a 500g tub.
thanks alot, but i have ONE more question about the Glutamines..
after a work out, i usually have protein shake... should i take glutamine AND protein shake? if not, which one is better to take? protein shake or glutamine.. thanks alot,
Glutamine is in the Amino Acid Chain of Protein strands.
Protein shakes outweigh Glutamine, by a long way, though a scoop of Glutamine, might give you more than a scoop of Protein Powder might.
Depends on which Protein Powder you buy.
I would personally say, you could add a scoop of Glutamine to your Protein Powder, and one before bed, thereby having two a day, or just one before bed.
Depends on how you want to play the situation. I wouldn't think bolstering up Glutamine levels in the Protein powder, woud cause serious competition with other Aminos, if at all.

will glutamine help preserve muscle during night when i take 5g before bed ?
(of course i don't mean taking glutamine alone but as a supplement to the "before bed" meal).
To prevent night catabolism, you would need casein before bed ... Glutamine won't prevent much catabolism, tough from experience, for sleep it's great.
