I am a 40yr old guy, trying to get fit again. For the last couple of years I have been on and off again at the gym. When I push myself to failure, I get indigestion, feel like I have to crap and seem to get a tad dizzy. This is when I know I am done. Once I stop, the feeling does not subside, in fact, it sometimes gets worse (depending on the exersion) sometimes to the point of puking. The only thing that feels ok when this comes on is to lay down, now I know thats not the best thing to do, but it seems to be the only thing that works. Needless to say, this isnt very much motivation to get back into the gym. I am not lifting heavy at all, benching 50lbs 3 sets of 10, dead lifts 70bls 3 of 5, pull ups, etc, etc. A very small strength training program, I am not obese 5"8"" 165lbs. Has anyone ever experienced or heard of this before? Am I dying? Should I just eat bon bons on the couch?
Thanks Scott

I have recently started working out myself (about 9 months now) and I too sometimes feel a bit queezy/sick/light-headed after a workout.
I have found that this usually occurs if I was a bit lighter on food intake prior to working out. Try a bigger meal about 1 hour before you exercise. It works for me.
