i started lifting weights again last sunday. The next day elbow started hurting whenever i stretched them out. At first i thought that it was from the soarness after a workout day...but everytime i did a bench press or tricep excercise it REALLY hurt so i stopped immediately. It's been a week now and the pain is still the same where elbow is. Whenever i stretch it out fully it hurts. Has anyone had this before? I really wanted to get back to shape but now this might delay me again
anyone know what i should do to heal it faster? Is rest and no weight lifting the only solution? I'm afraid that it could be tennis elbow :/
Ok....this same thing happened to me too. Seriously....mine was just painful as hell and after consulting with gym going friends they said it was just ur elbow trying to get used to the weight and the muscle that is growing. It has nothing to do with bones....it is the tendons that hurt. Anyway.....the idea is do not....and i say do not go to the gym and act like a hero and lift weights that are very heavy. As a beginner, start with lighter weights, get ur heart pumping, sweat a little and then move to heavier weights. I have done this and believe me it works. For the pain, just take advil or any other prescribtion thats similar. Don't worry....ur pain will go away. Hopefully, or if it more than a week and the swelling has not gone down yet, then probably seek a doctor. Hope this helped.
well i went to the doctor and bad news for me i have to get surgery to put a screw between bones because they shifted.....he said i have Syndesmosis. So ppl startin to workout again don't be stupid like me and lift heavy weights right away, warm up first, and stretch after.
