Toning/losing fat in back, hips and lower

Post by kui »

Hi, I'm training to model this summer and as of yet I am a bit uncomfortible in skin lol. I have a little bit of fat right above hips on backside and in lower abdominal that i really reaally want to tone up and lose that fat in. I do lift weights and 45mins to an hour of cardio 4-6 times a week but those areas are still troubling.

Any advice or routines to help tone these areas is greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much!~

Until you describe your weight training can't help you that much except if your trying to build mass, stick to intervals or sprints instead of long drawn out cardio.

Well i usually to abdominal excersizes 3-5 times a week from free weights, yoga and crunches together or interchangibly. I do a lot of bicept/tricept workouts and back workouts 2-4 times a week on a body ball with freeweights and some pilates every 3 days also. Then i do cardio every night 4-6 times a week for about an hour. Thats about it aside from a low carb diet and plenty of fruits/veggies with calcium and a protein shake every night after workout.

You can do light cardio every day but only do intervals 3-4 times a week, same with abs.

well i basically do do that at this moment, I need particular programs or excersizes to lose weight or tone lower back sides and lower abdominals right now. The rest of me is fine and I don't want to lose any more weight in the rest of me.

Spot reduction is almost impossible, just stick to exercise and a clean diet.

if your doing all your exercises on swissballs then it will limit the wt you can use so go to standing / bench versions so you can use the most wt you can and you'll burn more cal's and build more muscle that way...you should do sprints 1/week and intervals 2.week then 1hr low int cardio every other day of the week...if your cal's are too low than you'll store fat too so make sure that they are spot on
