Achilles Problem

Post by jerkycsfan »

Hey everyone, I currently run 2 to 3 times a week and weight train 3 times of week using one of Swanso's full body workouts - deadlift/squat, bench press/row, shoulder press/pulldown. I love the results.

Unfortunately, I have tears in right achilles, and need to shut it down for at leat 8 weeks. No running, no bike, no deadlifts/squats.

What can I do to stay in shape these next few months without cardio and without weight training with legs?

Thanks!

as much as i hate to say it then you'll probaby need to go to an upper body push / pull schedule 3 - 4/week...can you at least do any low intensity / bodyweight lower body stuff?

As long as the exercise does not engage the Achilles tendon in any way, I should be fine. I don’t want to do anything that would slow recovery.
