Yes, I work all muscle groups twice a week.

Most people will use two distinct methods.

Split one. Upper Body x2 a week / lower Body x2 a week.

Split two. something like Chest, Tri's Bi's x2 a week / Legs, Back, Shoulders, or something like that x2 a week.

As long as your reps are good, and sets not too many at a time, it can be very beneficial.

90% of the population will respond best to a 3/week full body workout but obviuosy you can't train all muscles individually for time reasons...this means compunds exercises are thenway to go for overall muscle building and calorie use / fat loss...no curls and extensions required

how often do you plan on training a week?

well stick with 3 wt sessions a week then gradually add in 2 interval sessions, not another 2 wt sessions...5 in total is plenty and will yeild results if food is clean
