None. Never take pills to mass build. They cost too much, you pay a part of the money for that Gelatine coating, which doesn't do much, and for people like Celiacs, the Proteins in it can cause Gastro-intestinal problems.

Plus things like Protein pills have about 2g protein per pill, so you'll end up chugging back about 20-25 Pills after workouts, and then have to buy more every 5-7 days.

You could try Amino Acid supplements, which are a bit different, but in all honesty if your diet isn't right, and training aren't right, there's not that much point to supplements.

high stress levels (physical and mental) cause a hormone called cortisol to be produced...when cortisol is produced the bidy will not build muscle but rather use it, as well as storing fat as the body goes in to "survival" mode...this is why long workouts are no good...from 0 - about 45mins of each workout, you are in a 'muscle building state" as cortisol is suppressed because (hopefully) you have fuelled the body for the exercise that you are doing but once this fuel runs out, cortisol is produced blunting the oppurtunity to build muscle until recovery is completed

does that make sense? i tried to simplyfy it

Cortisol is not good as it increases Fat levels around the Midriff, and also it will affect your muscle mass, as it breaks down Proteins, so less Protein equals inability to maintain or build muscle levels.
