could someone help me with diet and exercise please!!!!

Post by ricky_the_rockstar »

First off, im new here, and im looking for help :D

Im not completely lost when it comes to diets and loosing weight. I used to weigh 220 pounds, went to 155 and now back up to 172.

There is just so many topics and websites and information about what exercises to do and what kind of food to eat, its just too much. I was hoping that if I tell someone what im doing, will they be able to let me know if im on the right track.

I joined a gym and have been going for the last past 6 days. I walk to and from the gym which is about a 25-30 minute walk.

At the gym I start with this leg machine (I don’t know what its called, but it mostly works the thighs) I do that for about 10 minutes which burned 100 calories.
After that I do the stationary bike, im on that for about 45 minutes which burns about 22o calories
And then I do this machine which is like sit ups, it works abs, I do 3 reps of 25 sets
And lastly I do this machine that works arm and chest, 3 reps of 20 sets

And eat pattern has been, breakfast when I wake up at like 9ish, is a bowl of cereal, skim milk and half a banana which is about 250 calories.
When I get back from the gym around 1:00, I eat a baked chicken breast (boneless skinless), I make a wrap with 2 whole wheat wraps (80 calories each), and ¼ cup of shredded cheese (80 calories), and reduced fat mayonnaise (1 tablespoon is 20 calories)
The rest of day im not so hungry till like 7:00, so I eat like an apple or an orange

When I started going to the gym I weighed 178 pounds, and today I weigh 172.4

I would just like to know if this routine is good enough for fat to go away. I don’t want to be like a crazy muscle person, I just would like to have a flat stomach and be in better overall shape.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ricky

nice name...

if your only new to the gym than start off with bodyweight exercises...search Death By Bodyweight by Ian King and do that...machines are crap stay off them..

you want more resistance training than cardio training

- add a meal i btw breaky and training of solid proitein (chicken, red meat, fish, turkey eggs etc) and veggies / salad
- cut the meal you have after training 9in half and have as soon as tyou finish and then the secoind half 45 - 75mins later...you'll need another meal at 4 - 5ish of solid protein and veg/salad
