Has anyone heard of Anytime Fitness?...I just had a question about the machines, i wanted to know if they would do the job! Getting fit..lol
Hi Shauna,
I've never heard of them, and the website seems to only advertise for buying into a franchise. Go and take a tour, see what they have to offer you. Just be sure that they have free weights available to you, not just machines. Also, they should offer you a full evaluation (should you want one) of your physical condition before you start. That can mean many things at different places, but at the minimum they should offer you a cardio evaluation and some strength testing. Whenever I buy anything, I am so cheap, I try to get as much as I can, in the case of a gym, I'd ask for a test, postural evaluation, cardio testing and a strength program to start with based on those results. Of course, you may already know what you want to do at the gym, but if you are just starting out, shoot for the moon, get as much as you can for your $$$$. Good luck!

Anytime Fitness is a franchise that promotes operating hours are 24/7, 365 days a year. They have limited staffing and each member posesses a key card to access the facility. It is unlike many gyms becuase it promotes its operating hours as their greatest strength. Most third shifters use the club. Most clubs use different equipment brands, however, the ones I have checked out use Matrix equipment, which is fine.
Any peice of equipment will do the job...will your commitment do the job, though?

shauuna,
Did you try out Anytime Fitness? They are popping up, several of
them in area. I want to go check them out. decent World Gym
was ruined by the takeover of Planet Fitness. Planet Fitness is a joke,
they promote 'pizza night' and 'bagel morning', not to mention removing
pull - up bars and other equipment to 'deter bodybuilders'. They also
ring the loud bell, called "the lunk alarm" if you grunt or drop any weights.
The place is a joke if you're serious about working out and being lean.
