A friend of mine is taking part in a competition for the first time ever soon. He's been working hard and I saw him for the first time yesterday in a few months and the improvements are vast. He truly has one of the best bodies I've ever seen (and I've seen many magnificent ones).
His weakness is the fact that he's a first-timer. He hasn't got a clue as to poses etc. To be honest I'm not sure he even knows the structure of a show. I only found this out yesterday. He doesn't have much time to sort himself out.
Now, I know about compulsory poses and the like, and that I can teach him. problem (and his) is that I don't know what the judges are looking for. During the free posing routine, are they looking for grace/fluidity/uniqueness, what? Does anyone have any helpful hints, please?
I feel like this guy is kid and I've come over all protective, I really want to see him do well. I know he's got the body, and he's left it late to learn the techniques but any info would be greatly appreciated
