For starters Swanson wrote:

1 - fruit, high fibre cerial, optional protein shake
2 - fruit, peotein
3 - fruit, protein, veg, salad
4 - protein veg, salad
5 - protein, veg, salad
option 6 - protein, veg, salad

enter post wortkout shake and / or meal where needed

doesn't matter what fruit, veg, salad or protein you have, just have it

Is this a general Idea for all are does it target a specific age group. What is a typical Calorie target for a 32 year old active . I see so many different opinions I do not honestly know where to start. I find that Keeping the calories down is not the problem its more potasium issues when I keep track of food on the daily plate. When you say eat vegetable or fruit what serving size are we talking? Thanks for your help anyone.

Really generally, a portion is the size of your palm. But that is really general. Your calories per day are going to depend upon the amount of activity that you plan to do.
Do you know what your intake is now? I find for me the best way to keep on top of those numbers is to create a food log. Fit Day offers a free one, but enter your foods as custom items, so you get the correct macro nutrient balance.
You really seeem to have made a commitment to get back in shape, congrats!
