Depends.

Wheat Bread I think especially made with the germ, is not too bad, but bear in mind it is nearly if not high GI, because it's Wheat, and also two thin slices give you about 25g Carbs, so Glycemic impact can be moderate.

Wheat is about 75 GI, Wheat Bread a bit lower than that, so when you work out Glycemic load, you get 17.5%, which is your Bloodsugar increase, so it can be moderate , not high, which is why you could have it, but make sure the slices are thin. Thicker slices will increase , so you might be as well to buy it already thinly sliced, not one you have to slice yourself, and then if you have it, consume it no more than once a day, with no other Carbs, like say a Chicken and Wheatbread Sandwhich for example.

If you add other Carbs to it, you might reasonably reduce GI value, depending on the type of Carbs, but possibly the additional Carb level could still increase , which you won't want, as regular high bloodsugar increases like that, can lead to Diabetes long term, so if you have it, have it as I suggested.

Make sure it is whole wheat bread, not just wheat. Wether or not it's a good idea for you to have depends on your goals. I eat lots of it, but then again I am a runner and I don't want to lose any weight.
