Rest

Post by Xander »

I started to work out almost a year ago and I have seen some good results. Muscles were sprouting all over body and I really enjoyed the training sessions. When I started I was freshmen and college program didn’t take a lot of time so I was free enough to train 4 times a week. This past summer I was at home and I changed diet completely to suit training needs but now college has started and I face myself with growing academic needs and sometimes I’m too tired to workout or I just don’t have the time to go to the gym. question is: After how long period of not working-out muscles will start to decade and is there any way I could preserve them by training less? Four days a week schedule is so full I don’t have the time to eat but the rest of the week I’m wide open for 2 or 3 hours of exercise per day. I tried to change this to suit needs but I failed! Are three days enough to keep hard-gained muscles? second question is similar: Soon I will have to stop training for a month (academically related) and I would really like to know how it will affect muscles (primarily would like to know will I start loosing them)?
I would like to thank anybody who will give me or try to give me the answer!

hi
as i know 3 days a week is for begginers , not for advanced bodybuilders , when you will stop your traning the first thing that will happen is loosing some of yr muscles of course and their hardness ( it happened with me before) and when u start working out again you will have some strenght problems ( you will not lift as before ) , you have to sacrifice , i used to go at 430 am to train alone and open the gym by myself ( the owner of the gym was freind)and after hard workout i go to work at 7am , i suffered at that time but the love of this sport can make u do crazy things sometimes

i want to ask you one question ? do you take some amino acids or whey protein? especially the branched chain amino acids , they will help you , do u know why u sleep 12 hrs after working out? the answer is that yr muscle dont get enough food to recover from the previous workouts, the bcaa help develop, build and maintain optimal muscle tissue and speed up recovery, by the way 12 hours sleeping is not healthy ( after 8 hours your body needs healthy foods) take a look here please http://www.healthology.com/diduknow.asp ... sleepheart, 8 hours per night is enough plus you could sleep one hour or just 3o minutes after training ( that's what i do) , if you dont this then it will takes very long for yr muscles to recover and yr muscles cannot grow and u will stagnate , i cannot know when yr body well loose muscles if you stop working out , why dont u try training one muscle per day , /one hour per day ? 8)

I actually slept very long all of life and yes, I do take enough amino acids. All of them come from a natural food, I don’t take steroids, supplements or any kind of chemical substances. I’m bodybuilding recreationally only so I really don’t have the need to use them plus I’m nutritionist so I balance diet very effectively. One more time I would like to thank the man with the handle bodybuilder for the assistance and for anybody who is interested in this topic I would recommend another forum I created on exrx.net. Replies and links there also helped me in search for the answer. Thanx
P.S. I heard about sleeping right after the training and I promise i`ll give it a shoot!

man ,what you said about steroids is true and yes they are no good just like the hgh or synthol etcetera , but diatary supplements have nothing to do with the steroids , they are derived from natural sources , from real food so they are natural i used supplements always and they help for muscle recovry and growth and they dont have any bad effects ,on contrary when u train hard ur body needs real food +supplements , u see u sleep 12 hours that means yr body doesnt get enough amino acids/vitamins/minerals etc so u sleep more .

That is correct, supplements really are made of food but there is a difference! Simple apple and apple juice or apple shake is at the first sight the same thing but the affect of apple shake is different; it's absorbed into the blood more faster and therefore it's much less healthy then an apple in its original form. Supplements are good but energy body needs should derive from food in its unchanged form. Also after the practice you should give your body a rest, even more then 8 hours of sleep if it requires so. What you should remember is that weight lifting is unnatural way of making muscles, stress to our body at first, muscles are created during our life much slower then we create them in the gym so it's understandable that we need more proteins, more carbs and food + supplements in the periods we work out! If i eat an apple in the period i don't work out i probably will need apple plus some more vitamins in the period i do workout and that goes for carbs, proteins, fibers, vitamins and fats. But i can avoid using the supplemental vitamins if i eat 2 or more apples and that will probably be possible because body need food (we're hungry) when we workout! That's why i recommend natural food and no supplements!!!

I apologize, I wrote that I sleep 12 hours after the workout and I haven't explained that I usually sleep very long, not because of chemical unbalance or lack of vitamins but because I live in a fast tempo and body needs time to recover. Also I'm very lazy person so... kill me if you don't like me!
