Well this week went pretty good for me. I got in two walks on Tuesday, Wednesday and today. eating hasn't been terrible. Soups at work for lunches all week which were very yummy. The other soup I pulled out of the freezer was a spicy bean soup. Lots of veggies and yummy stuff. I was able to get in a bit of practice on chanter and on the bagpipes. So that should help keep brain from going to rot! I hope you gals are all doing well! Catch ya later!
Well, just to say HI to whoever might be reading this:)) And Chris, hey, 3 walks a week would be great and I know you do more then that a lot too:) Just put on cable things on your boots if icy please:( Don't know how your weather is? It sure hasn't been great here, only in 20's so long and snowing here and there and then sleeting also when it went up to 30's one day so too icy for me anyway. So I'm still in the house. Doesn't get me going really at all. Glad you got to play your instruments also Chris:) I thought I'd get to a parade in nearest town about 15 miles away but nope. I wish I lived IN town now. Well I know you and your kids will somehow enjoy the winter activities anyway so enjoy your holiday time off soon too:)) Not sure if you get much though?:) I only wish I Was working. Guess Sue is not on yet, but hear from her anyway and hoping you are getting some sleep nights Sue if you get to see this?
Hi and have some cozy lovely holidays coming up soon also everyone who might see this:) Can't believe its Dec. 1 tomorrow Where does that time go? take care and watch the ice everyone;)
Here's November report and hope to get caught up reading and answering emails later today or Sunday....sorry been a busy beaver and still more to do.......
This time of year with all I had to do around the house I took off November and December to get it all done....those are RLW's
On tap for the month of the remainder of December will be the same with lots more cleaning etc.
Weigh Ins for the Month:
11/2/18 Friday weigh in 109
11/4/18 Sunday weigh in 108.5
11/11/18 Sunday weigh in 106
11/16/18 Friday weigh in 110
11/18/18 Sunday weigh in 109.5
11/23/18 Friday weigh in 110
11/25/18 Sunday weigh in 108
11/30/18 Friday weigh in 109.5
Food goals: Food goals have not changed but remain the same...continue to take vitamin D, and keep up the increase in the fruits and veggies in diet, and try some different type of veggies, which we have been doing well with. Also continue to try out some different recipes, which had we are bound and determined this year to do better with. I will also continue with the getting in chocolate several times a week. PB is no longer an eating option for me. As for desserts we have made a switch and am keeping portion controls as I need to. Our soups mixed with egg noodles are working out great giving up lots of veggies and the sauce is already included; in addition to getting 2 dinners out of a can. Plus tummy likes it too LOL We will continue to have them over other types of noodles, like little farfalle and ditalini pasta too.
We have made up a number of the following ideas for dinners and just adding to our menu. In addition we have a number of ideas for different bases to go over pasta, making casseroles, etc. Plus making calzones, and pastry filled with vegetables and other filling to add to our diet for even more variety. We did a test one and it worked out great.
Trying to continue a variety of foods in our diet. Doing very well getting fish into diet having it on most Friday's and have also been getting it in during the week also. In addition adding diced peppers, potatoes, corn, spinach and other veggies to go with the fish has worked out well too. Still have had to be careful on portions as stomach still rebels on occasion, hence no weight gain in 2018 and slowly increase portion sizes to maybe put some weight on. Some weeks it goes up but then comes right back down again. Wish me luck.
Hey All!
Monday I walked to work, at lunch and then home again.
I am starting to add a bit more to exercise. Today I did a HIIT style workout (but I did not push it) started with a one minute warm up, the workout and then some stretches. Overall a ten minute workout but a body has to start somewhere. I am not interested in sustaining an injury the first day in. Now off to eat soup and then get out for a 30 minute walk.
Have a great day all!
Where is the week going!! It is Thursday again. I did a quick toning routine and walked for 30 minutes as well. I am hoping doing these quick routines each day will set me up to be ready for more exercise as soon as schedule allows. Food is still good. Loving soups!
Have a good day all!
Hi All,
Well I wasn't super active on the weekend as it is super busy this time of year. We have our tree up with lights on but not decorated yet.
Today is a different story for exercise, I will get three walks in (to work, at lunch and home again) as well as some toning moves.
I hope you are all doing well with your exercise.
Have a great day all!
Hi All! Yesterday I did some toning moves. Man do I need to work on balance! Today two 20 minutes walks and an hour yoga session at lunch. Really looking forward to that!! Have a great day all!
Hi All, I will be offline for a bit but I will return. I did manage to get a great walk in on Dec 20. It has been raining here so that puts me off walking outside. Not only that but the pressure change makes me dizzy and not feeling great. Oh well! See you all soon!
Chris the email for this week bounced back....so you will have to let me know when to resend or another email address....Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year....
Sorry for the long time since posting but been a busy devil with cleaning, appointments, then decorating and doing rugs etc etc.
Sorry so long before getting out again YAH. However, temps and weather your way make it hard to want to drive much.
Oh boy on the Pit Bull and the chewing....yeah known dogs to do that.
Thanks on the monthly reports YAH and I'd be happy to take some extra...
Chris, sorry about the busted week in November...been there, done that. Sorry to hear about your hubby putting out his back. Chuck has a very bad one also, and mom had traction equipment at home for hers that went out a lot also. I feel for your poor hubby and you too.
Oh how nice that your mom and you and your sisters have an annual Christmas shopping day....plus spent the night too and more shopping the next day. I see you got some nice walks in too till the snow came and then rain too.
Yikes you poor thing on all the shoveling and oh I hated wen the plows came and did that to our driveway....so annoying. How nice of you to do the neighbors driveway too. I did that in Sacto for Jim.....I did all the edging for the both of us and trimming and since he had a more powerful lawnmower, than old fashioned push one....he did the grass cutting for me and him.
I see more walking back and forth to work, yeah I'd say an awesome workout.
MMM love veggie soups too Chris, sounds good. Will have to make some up for us.
YAH thanks on the Thanksgiving wishes and had a nice day. Sorry you didn't do anything on your 70th birthday YAH. Yeah the sleeping is good some weeks and not so good others. Like tonight no birthday sleep after birthday...but then such is life......I still had a nice day, and evening.
Chris, I see you got some Christmas shopping done and got to see the Santa Claus parade with your hubby too. Yeah I always loved parades also and lots of great ones growing up in NYC.
Congrats on no weight gain Chris and I have every confidence you will get to the goal weight you set for yourself. Those walks will help too...so Kudos to you.
Kudos on the great eats Chris and sound yummy to me too. Also glad you got some time in with the chanter and the bagpipes.
I am with YAH, Chris, great on the walks you are getting in.
Sorry about the weather YAH but it's that time of year and didn't enjoy it in upstate NY and this is why we moved to California.
Yes, YAH I have been bad with getting on as busy with cleaning, doing up Christmas stuff and then the rugs too....plus normal daily stuff .....not enough hours in the day.
Yeah I agree YAH time seems to fly now....
Chris, I see more walking to start December off with walk and home and lunch too. Kudos on the HIIT workout too and the walk after lunch too.
Yeah I agree Chris, time seems to fly now....I see a good toning routine was done and walked for 30 minutes also. Soon you will be a lean mean fighting machine. Yeah I am with you I love soups too Chris.
Chris, doing all the decorating and house stuff is a "real life workout" so they count.... I see you got 3 good walks in after the decorating the next day. Kudos on the toning moves and on the balance trying lifting both arms and bend one leg lightly and stay stable. Grab on to something if you have to till you can do without it. Kudos on the 20 minute walks and yoga too.
I see you will be gone for a while and got yourself a great walk in on December 20th. Yeah we had the "wet" stuff too recently and Friday night came down in buckets. Oh so sorry on your not feeling well. Yeah pressure changes does that to me now too.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and all the best for the New Year.......off to do one more mail check and try to see if I can get some shut eye tonight.
Morning Ladies, Just want to wish you all a very Happy New Year . Hope this year brings us all the best to us.
I have been sick and never could find out what was wrong with me but seem to be coming back from whatever it was. As we age strange things can happen , LOL ''
Nothing new in life . Seems to run the same course which isn't bad . Gkids are growing up and don't see them a lot. They are busy with school activities and Oldest one is working and has a girlfriend.
We have had a very lite winter so far but the good stuff will soon be here if you can call it Good Stuff . I am talking about the White stuff.

Bama, as I said sorry you were so sick and also about not seeing the grandkids as much. Hope you feel back to your ole self soon. As for that "white stuff" this is why I live in CA now.....when we moved out here we went up to the mountains said Hi and Bye to the snow....
Unfortunately, had some again in Lousy a couple times. Luckily none where we live now PTL just lots of fog here this time of year. We are however, headed to the 30s overnight and a bit lower so not happy about that especially with the drafts in this older place and the most stupidest heating system we have ever had....
Well hope you all had wonderful Christmas and NYE and wishing you all the best for the New Year.
Silly me I tried to send this earlier but it timed out on me. Okay for last week: Jan 2-20 minute walk, Jan 3&4 two 20 minute walks, Jan 5 I was a slug , Jan 6 a 15 minute full body toning moves. It was quick but still feel glutes and hamstrings this morning so for level it was effective. Have a great day all!
