Hi, not sure if this is still going but will post and see if you see it:) Not doing much exercise so can't talk much about that. As Bama says, same old here too. Fall is here and temp last night went to 30 degree's and only 50's today but was sunny and now cloudy again. We had rain for a few days and very windy. Guess GB has had some flooding even with the rain. son is still in Chicago working but will be done next Thurs. and has a week off and then will be in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the winter working at a hospital there:)) Maybe not much winter snow there:) He's still traveling but I hope he gets to a regular after this or not too much more. We mom's worry all the time no matter where they go I guess especially when their alone. I went and spent a few days in town over older son's to get out of here. So nice there and more things going on. He was working but we get time to talk a lot anyway. At least I get to talk a lot to 2 sons and some with 3rd one but he has a family so he's ok anyway:) Busy working from home now and their fixing or painting and doing a lot of things in her Grama's house so her step dad can sell it maybe next yr. sometimes. I'd love a house like that but son and family want a bigger one and they need to pick what they want for living in DIL's hometown. At least their DD is in 1st grade now and DS is in pre-K already and their in different things also for activity. And Henry the lab is big and very energetic. I haven't got to dog sit since I did and older DS was going through back to Missouri where she's from and got to stay a night with me there for a visit:)
Chris, you are doing so good with the walking, plus the occasional kayak, biking and sounds like fun with the girls camping too:)) As long as you get 30 min. in a day even walking, you are doing Real Good:) Happy belated bday to the 15 yr. old son also:) When older son was 15, he had a 3 yrs. old little DB and a baby DB:)) He sure was a big helper and has been a great big brother since:)
Sue, I hope you can get on here? I know you said about some trouble to do so? And Bama, come and chat sometimes too, like me:)) Any anyone else can drop in anytime too:) Maybe now that summer is over, might be more time for some people. I sure hope Mo is ok and didn't get the bad weather etc. that some of the east got either? Can't remember what else has been going on that way too? Just hope you all have been safe and enjoying your families I guess:) I like Fall but like Spring better as I know winter is farther away;)) But with this weird weather, seems like some storms have been going in odd places and not our place? Like GB having that Big snow storm in April? son had to snowblow to get out to drive to SD that time. He drove back all the way July and had to be in Chicago for 8 weeks and is done with that. Has sent nice pic's of Chicago but is kind of glad to be getting out. They really like no cars there:( Can get around with buses, subways etc. so if you have a car, Very hard to park it but he has been lucky with that too.
take care all and I'll try to get on more often too. Got to try to take a lot of sauna's now that the Hot weather is over and before water hose starts freezing out there:) Love sauna's but don't get them much here. Have a super ME day tomorrow everyone!! :coffee:

Hi All,
Hi YAH good to hear what is going on with you. Glad you got to go in town for a while and just get away. We all need a break from our regular surroundings now and then. That is the point of the girls weekend and yes it is a lot of fun.
Saturday was bagpipe lessons and a nice relaxing day. Sunday DH and I got in a nice walk in the woods. It was nice to walk and talk. Today I should get in three walks, one to work, one at lunch, and one to get home again. :D We have a lovely day for it. Gotta keep moving!!
I hope you are all doing well!

Hi Chris and YAH,

Well I am off to more scanning so won't get to catch up today and tomorrow it's to the dentist again...hoping this time there are no Handyride glitches. I did a "NOT JOE" request, so we shall see what happens. Wish me luck.

A good Monday to all,

Did alright with September workouts....missed 3 due to shopping but got in a LOT of walking,

On tap for the month of October will be 10 Minute Solutions Slim and Sculpt Pilates with band with Suzanne Bowen. However, this month will concentrate on one workout and then do the same for November and continue to do the same come January. December is a month I don't do regular workouts but RLW's. Workout for the month for October will be Upper body Pilates and Pilates for Flexibility.

Weigh Ins for the Month:

9/2/18 Sunday weigh in 111
9/7/18 Friday weigh in 109.5
9/9/`8 Sunday weigh in 110
9/14/18 Friday weigh in 111.5
9/16/18 Sunday weigh in 111.5
921/18 Friday weigh in 111.5
9/28/18 Friday weigh in 109.5
9/30/18 Sunday weigh in 111

Food goals: Food goals have not changed but remain the same...continue to take vitamin D, and keep up the increase in the fruits and veggies in diet, and try some different type of veggies, which we have been doing well with. Also continue to try out some different recipes, which had we are bound and determined this year to do better with. I will also continue with the getting in chocolate several times a week. PB is no longer an eating option for me. As for desserts we have made a switch and am keeping portion controls as I need to. Our soups mixed with egg noodles are working out great giving up lots of veggies and the sauce is already included; in addition to getting 2 dinners out of a can. Plus tummy likes it too LOL We will continue to have them over other types of noodles, like little farfalle and ditalini pasta too.

We have made up a number of the following ideas for dinners and just adding to our menu. In addition we have a number of ideas for different bases to go over pasta, making casseroles, etc. Plus making calzones, and pastry filled with vegetables and other filling to add to our diet for even more variety. We did a test one and it worked out great.

Trying to continue a variety of foods in our diet. Doing very well getting fish into diet having it on most Friday's and have also been getting it in during the week also. In addition adding diced peppers, potatoes, corn, spinach and other veggies to go with the fish has worked out well too. Still have had to be careful on portions as stomach still rebels on occasion, hence no weight gain in 2018 and slowly increase portion sizes to maybe put some weight on. Some weeks it goes up but then comes right back down again. Wish me luck.

Hey All guess I have been MIA again. We had a lovely Thanksgiving with good weather. Got a walk in with the family. I did walk to work and home again on Tuesday. Today I brought the car. I will need the car the rest of the week to take a kiddo to some appointments. I have a dizzy head right now. Not sure what is going on there. I am fine until I bend over to get something on a low shelf and then I am dizzy most of the day. Hopefully just a virus and will right itself in due course.

Looks like you are doing great with your stuff Sue! Keep up the great work! Hope your appointments go well this week!

Have a great day all!

YAH I read your post and since it has been a while and you and I chit chat I was up on the happenings. Sorry on the weird weather for you this year. Chicago sounds like NYC they don't like cars either much better if you take public transportation.

Chris so nice you get to have a girls weekend. Used to do that with a couple of HS buddies many years ago but then as usual some get married, others move away etc etc I met Chuck and we moved in and then got married. Kept in touch for a while but then we moved from Long Island and never heard from them again. I knew buddy, Debbie went to Florida and Laurie got married and left when Debbie and I were still there and sowing out wild oats LOL

I see you got some great walks in for late September, Chris.

Chris, I see you had a very nice Thanksgiving and I do apologize with all the "stuff" going on here and doctor stuff too I didn't get to send you a card for Thanksgiving. Glad it was a good time with nice weather too. I see a nice family walk with had too. I see you drove to work and had a bunch of appointments with your kiddo. As for the dizziness, if you have low BP it can cause this feeling. Or An ear infection or injury can upset your balance and make you dizzy when you bend over. ... This can cause vertigo and dizziness. It's called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, or BPPV.

Yes Chris the new dentist was great as you know since I wrote about great visit in weekly email.....so I am a happy camper. I got rid of the primary I had found and went back with the initial one I found but hubby had stuff to say. That's what I get for listening LOL Anyhoo have an appointment in November, the first week. This month on the fourth week I see the dermatologist again and this new guy gets to try and figure out why I am itchy so much. I have read up on a lot of it.....and all meds are factors, however, thyroid meds really go to work on it. So we shall see. I have to have the thyroid meds....so I and hubby just might have to live with it.

Well on that note I am off to check mail, get stories and other fun stuff and then off to comics.

A good day to all.

Hey All,
I am starting this week out with more exercise than all of last week. Yesterday I felt so good I headed out for a brisk 1 hour walk in the morning. The weather was so nice that DH and I got out again in the afternoon for more walking. Today I walked to work and an hour at lunch and then home again. :D I am hoping the rain will hold off until I get home, but I do have umbrella. :thumb: I started on the getting ready for winter work. I unhooked the hose so it could drain and I can put it away. I dumped some of pots that I grew veggies in and stacked them. Still lots to do.

Thanks Sue I will look that up. I have always had lower blood pressure. When I first started getting dizzy I checked BP and it was normal for me. I have had an inner ear infection before and this feels much different. I am keeping an eye on it. I am still guessing it is a virus but we will let you know.
Have a great day all!

Hi Chris,

Great walks and exercise for this morning, afternoon, lunch break and back home again. i do hope the rain held off for you. Yeah that was something else I had in mega pocketbook LOL Ah yes the getting ready for winter remember it well. In addition the Vette went up on blocks and got all covered up nice and tight till Spring (sometimes late Spring if our Rochester winter decided to end later LOL)

Yeah I had low BP's most of life it's all the high dose meds once they let me out of ICU to go home and since I am still on many of them today (they keep alive so that's OK) I have to take BP meds too. Side effects to all of them enough to drive you batty.

Your light headedness could be inner ear, too low a number for BP, to a Vitamin b-12 deficiency. Plus not sure if you are on any other types of meds (check the side effects for them too).

Hope it stops and you feel better soon.

Well of to check mail and go take care of salmon cooking.

A good day to all that browse on by.

Just popping in to say HI to all and hope you are enjoying warmer weather then we have here:) Well its after 10 pm now but only 26 degrees and going down I'm sure before morning. Because it cleared up finally after many days of rain and then snowing quite a bit again last night. Not sure if its going to last with the clear skies though. Has been highs of 30's mostly and maybe some 40's. Got to dog sit Sat. night in CF's for son and family and also got to see the gkids Sunday afternoon then:) Brought some Halloween treats with me. Drove home after it got dark and it was sleeting and snowing all the way and new blacktop for miles on main highway makes me go Slow, really slow, so great that not much cars going up north like I was:) Slippery when wet is what I see when shiny blacktop as I crashed once with that:( Got home anyway and all white this morning out there. So this will probably go again also for a while I hope. Other son is settled in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 6 months on his travel/work and got lucky in finding a furnished apt. with Everything in it, and all heat, lights, cable, internet and all included in rent which was cheap compared to Chicago and he's got the whole place to himself this time:) Looks so cozy in there for sure so I'm glad he's got a nice place to come home to after working. Very clean and organized hospital also compared to some. Maybe not so much snow either for the winter;) I just miss him of course:(
Chris, glad to hear you get some good walking weather in a way anyway:) Watch when it gets icy though. I haven't ordered walking sticks yet so I doubt if much walking for me in winter. I think I have to get legs back a bit first anyway. I imagine you are busy with kids in school stuff too? I know why youngest son with family doesn't call too often cause they are busy enough with the 2 kids, one in only 1st grade and the other in pre-K:) But they also go gymnastics and ballet for the girl and parkour for the boy, little people tumbling etc.:) so have to take them after school for those, plus he tries to jog 5 miles almost every day with Henry the big brown Lab dog:) And his wife tries to get her 30 min. a day walking fast out somewhere etc. so they are pretty busy.
Sue, always praying you get that good dreaming sleep:) Hope you can find an answer somewhere. Its too bad meds have so many side effects also:( Love your comics and emails a lot though but do get tired hearing of all you clean;)) I know, its great but you will have to slow down a bit yet so you might as well find shorter cuts to do it and I can't imagine your place is even dusty:) Yep just kidding but I do worry about you overdoing it and no help too much either:( I know I have given it up a lot and No help here either for sure:) I have high b/p but then I have low also so don't care to take meds for it. If it was High all the time but it isn't. We'll see I guess, if I ever see a Dr. that is:) take care over there also and hope the temps get to what you like soon:)
Hi to anyone else who might read it and miss you all. Just pop in once in a while like I do:) Hope your all enjoying Fall. the colors are peaking now here or have peaked in some places. I hate when the trees are bare though:( Glad we have some evergreens. Watch the ice! C U :chilly: :coffee:

Hi All,
I had a very active Tuesday! :D I got to walk to work, did an hour yoga at lunch and then a walk home. The yoga session felt great! A friend of mine is doing her training and needed to do some sessions so I asked her to hold a lunch time one for some of us. The core session of the yoga was planks and man can I feel them now! In a good way. I was laying in bed this morning thinking I kind of miss the burn and should do some arm work. Other than that I did get a good practice in on chanter and bagpipes.
Oh YAH not snow already!!! :chilly: You stay safe as well. kids are not into too much. I am making youngest take music lessons but that is at home so no running. older one has enough to do keeping up with school work.
Sue funny thing all through the yoga I was not dizzy at all!! It does seem better today. Luckily I am not on any meds at all. I hope to stay that way for a long time (or as long as I can  ).

Well time to do some work!
