Calcium

Post by Christopheel »

diet plan is stable and is now really great, but there's one think I lak of : Calcium. If i follow the canadian food health guide, I only reach 30-40 % of what a normal person should have daily ... Is this gonna be bad for me ? do i need to increase calcium income with skimmed milk or more no fat yougurt, or even salmon ? Thanks for your time

Calciun intake can be derived from Dairy sources, but also from other things like Soybeans, Almonds and a few other things, I can't remember right now.

Ideally, you need around 1,200 mg's a day, but I'd be aiming for a minimum of 800.

Yes you need Calcium, as the stores in your "Bone Matrix", deplete daily, and if you don't top them up, you could end up with very weak bones in later life.
