I see you had a month with lots of walking and RLW, Sue! Good luck with your March plan; I know you'll enjoy your Mari workouts.

Glad you are having some spring weather, Chris. Is this bomb cyclone nor'easter we're experiencing now going to be heading your way?

We had rain all night last night. It changed to snow this morning and then went back and forth between snow and rain till evening. Now it's very windy. I've already gotten public safety alerts that 2 roads are closed due to downed power lines. It's the perfect circumstances for falling trees, with as wet as it's been (our yard squishes like a wet sponge) and now the high winds. :(

I had follow-up visit with the eye surgeon today. Unfortunately I have to go back in May ~ hopefully by then the lingering issue with left eye will resolve itself.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend~

Just popping in while sis is laying down but I hear her already so....I see you have good plans for the month of March Sue and sorry about the damp stuff there too:( Its been nice and sunny here for a few days at highs of 30's so thats warm for us right now. Usually when I looked at MTU online, it was snowing so its nice that it hasn't since I've been up here now:) course I haven't been anywhere. Feel lucky to find her place as I came with son driving last time and I don't like the big Busy hill here where it seems all the big business's have gone now and went going to mom's farm, I always skipped this town and went across the little bridge and love that part better:) I know she figures I can go and get stuff but so far she does have friends who Said they would get anything if she tells them:0 I told her I'm suppose to be here in case of etc. aren't I? :) Its her Right hip surgery so harder to be able to drive I suppose as you use that foot more;( And she gets up and walks with walker but is doing stuff and I see the walker behind her and got to keep an eye on her:) She's too daring and independent I guess. I guess they will wait another week to bring home her goldenoodle dog as its only been a week since she's been home so maybe wait a bit:) don't need it to knock her down with happiness:) although a distraction would be good for her to pet him as she is different then me a bit and doesn't tell me if there's something I can do and just starts to do it, and I say, no, you shouldn't do that, I can but Let me know:)) I do change the dressing etc. But I'm sure she will be glad when she can go on her own etc. And I'll probably catch up to sleep then:) We do turn in earlier then I ever do but then I seem to get up very early, change her ice water stuff, and go back to sleep, like this morning it was 3:30 a.m and Nope, toss and turn but can't go back to sleep:(( Thats how its been. Been bouncing on the trapoline here though a few times a day when I go by that room:) And she's got nice smooth floors to walk on too and room:) I'm going to feel very closed in when I get back home:(
Well, she's up now so gotta go but I was wondering about those storms for you Mo or chris there?? Becka, hope you are doing fine too? And Bama, what have you been up to? Hope all is well with you all and hopefully Spring will come sooner but I know more snow here yet. I will have to drive home on a clear, dry road day though. St. Patrick's day is the weekend I go home but maybe I'll get going earlier or later, depends on weather to. take care! :coffee: :sunshine:

Hi All,
I guess it has been a while and I am not sure what I said last. Oh well. Went to visit parents this past weekend. We got to see the spring calves that have arrived. Today I had a workshop all day. I walked up and then home again. The distance was longer than normal for me so I am guessing 45 minutes to work and 35 home again. Why the difference? Uphill on the way there and downhill on the way home. :D I was reading a book on clean eating last night so I decided it was time to go for it. So I will see how many days I can do this. I also cut out grains to see if there will be less aches and pains do to inflammation. Day one is over and I feel pretty good. :thumb:

No Mo we didn't get your weather yet. We have a lot of wind so maybe we are on the outer edge. Luckily no snow and rain!

YAH, glad to hear you are out and about. Your sister is lucky to have your help. Enjoy your time.

Great job for February Sue, and good luck with March. I agree Mari is a good choice.

Have a great day all!!

Hi All, I am sitting at home safe and sound. Mo your Noreaster finally hit us today. So I have the afternoon to relax. I had to go to the dentist early this morning. I am having some jaw pain. Seems I have the beginning of an abscess. Guess I have a root canal in future. :( At this point I am just happy to know what it is and that it can be fixed. I am on day 4 of clean eating and no grains. I am still doing well with it.
I hope you are all doing well. Sue I laughed so hard at the headlines you sent me. Thanks for the chuckles! :D

Hi All, Not a lot of exercise to post. I did walk to and from work on Friday and I got out for a sunshine-y walk on Sunday. :sunshine: I am feeling really great since I have changed eating habits. I am down 2 pounds and I find cutting out the grains is good fit for me. That being said I had rice and pasta on the weekend with no regrets. Really trying to get and keep the veggies in diet so I don't fall back to simple carbs. So back to clean eating for the week for me. We have a major winter storm headed our way so that should be fun.  Hoping to get out and get some exercise today. :D Have a great day all!!

Hi again,

Whew, cooking all done, peppers all cleaned and diced etc etc It's late as we got up late....I hate losing hour, plus I didn't have a good night with sleeping either.

Yeah Molasses, did more walking the month before and beginning part of this month too. Not as I planned but such is life. Yes got Mari workout in this a.m., and it was so good. So will continue wither Mari's and also Suzanne Bowen's as I like her very much too.

Oh Molasses, heart goes out to you on the weather, having been in your neck of the woods and having to deal with it and growing up in NYC and then to Long Island wasn't fun either. But as Chris knows "upstate NY" is the worst.......no inches.....just by the "foot" LOL

I don’t miss it.....I am sorry to say but we are going to 75 today.....and were 72 yesterday. Now come Wednesday back to lower temps and LOTS of rain but we need it. Luckily we aren't going anywhere this week.

Hoping by May all is well for you and you don't have to do anything more.

YAH, yeah I didn't do well with first week as just did walking but today started with Mari and will continue this week as not going anywhere.

Hey our damp stuff is a lot easier to deal with than all your snow.... heart goes out to you. Yeah I can remember when I thought 30 was warm LOL

Sorry on the busy traffic to get to your sisters.

Hugs on her being too daring and independent. HUGS on the sleeping and lack of it. As I know am very familiar with that.

Yeah I imagine you will miss stuff from there, when you get home.

I see you are headed home on St. Patrick's Day.....yeah can't believe it's this Saturday already. I will be thinking of Tante Lisa and our trips every year to the St. Patrick's Day parade and then to the UN building for lunch with her buddies up there.

I see you had a nice trip to you parents house and got to see the spring claves that arrived. I see a workshop at work today and lots of walking for you. I hope the clean eating works out and cutting out grains too. Yeah we both have to cut down a bit too, on the grains as your digestive systems and bodies are feeling it. Oh well such is life.

Thanks on February and March, Chris and yeah Mari is one of favs.

I see the Nor'easter hit you last Thursday Chris. Oh no on the abscess and a root canal too. Kudos on the cleaning eating and no grains. Glad you enjoyed the headlines....

I see walking on Friday and on Sunday Chris...and I am sure you did a lot of moving Saturday so I say we count that too.

Glad you are feeling so great since you changed your eating habits. Plus kudos on the 2 pounds lost too. I couldn't live without pasta and we can't eat rice anymore so we eat Orzo....love it. Kudos on keeping those veggies in your diet. Hope the winter storm isn't too bad. Hope you got out today for your exercise.

Well I am off to check mail and see what else I can get done on "to do" list before it's time for meds, breathing and lay down.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Hi All,
Yesterday I got in a 30 minute walk at lunch time. Today I am walking to work and then home again. Not sure about lunch time as we are about to be slammed with another storm. This would be our regular St.Patrick's Day storm that hits around this time. They are calling for 20 to 30 cm (8-12 inches) with high winds and blowing snow. Should be fun!!
Glad to see you and Mari are having fun Sue!! :D

Hi ladies,

Chris, kudos on the 30 minute walk at lunch time, plus today too to and from work. Hope you get to go for lunch too and the storm holds off till you get home. Yuck on the winds and inches and I always loved St. Patrick's Day.....I will be sitting home with memories of me and Tante Lisa. Yes Mari and I stretched those limbs out on Monday and will do some more on Wednesday and Friday. Today a RLW with dusting. LOL

Well wishing everyone well and hope your day and this week goes well.

Hi to all and hope you are all doing ok?:) I am home now. Sure do miss being there with sis though and roomy house:) Did lose 10 lbs. somehow:)) I think eating with someone and slowly and making it also for both of us, works:) She uses non-gluten stuff so not sure if that helped or not. And I didn't dare go driving to the store as that is not in neck of the woods I'm used to:) And in winter, snowbanks so high I get mixed up cause I can't see the stores either. A big hill to go up to where she lives now. So I stayed in, did get her mail and did walk more in her roomy place and jumped on her little trampoline a few times a day so I guess that helped too:) On Sundays DB picked up a turkey dinner for us from a restaurant that was very delicious too:) He came every day to check for anything before going out to the farm to get ready for his maple syrup running:) Her dog should be coming home this weekend so she will have someone there then:) She has therapist come 3 times a week for this week and next and then hopefully she can drive herself for it. She is in better shape then I for sure so should be doing pretty good really soon. She is 73 but worked as a R.N. until 68 yrs. all her life mostly but quit when her DH became more sick. then she cared for him quite a few yrs. when going into dementia and now he is in nursing home there where she goes see him. But I think caretakers sometimes give too much of themselves too as I know her short memory is not too good and I think a lot of stress may cause that and sure hope it gets better as time goes along. Anyway, all is good:)
Hopefully I can keep those lbs. off as don't need them at all:) Chris, wow, those storms are sure coming your way a lot lately? Hope this is the last one. I know we just had a bit of one with up to probably 7 inches here and more in Marq. snow belt. I kind of wish I had stayed until this thurs. or so but came home before the snow. Got groceries in town on way home as its about 75 miles home but phone went out so luckily no troubles.
Sue, hoping your sleep gets better somehow or cot coming out again?:) Damp is kind of hard to take too:( But I guess rain is needed there. Dont' know if we will still get a St. Paddy's day storm. I know March came in like a lamb so may go out like a lion? Gkids bdays are all in March too:) I'm glad you don't have to go out this week then Sue if its raining etc.
Hi and hope Mo, Bekah and Bama are doing ok too? sis in St. Louis had snow also and they hardly get any. Did you get any Bama? son in Mn. still has hard snow on ground but none in GB for other son:) Well, take care and I'm hoping the Northern Lights might be showing more when it gets clear for the nights too:) TTYL :chilly:

Hey all, I walked to and from work gain yesterday after a delayed start. I did some shovelling until DH pulled out the snowblower. He had to be to work 30 minutes before me so after he left and as I was getting ready to leave I swiped the drive way again as it snowed all day. I see lots of melting taking place so no real worries there. :D Nothing for exercise yet today. I brought the car to work as I am tired today and I went home at lunchtime and snuck in a 15 minute nap. Such is life.
YAH glad you made it back safe and sound. Wow sounds like you did good there losing 10 lbs without trying!! :wowzer: Excellent!
Thanks Sue enjoy your workouts!

Morning ladies,

We have a day of sun today but a bit cool for us still. Such is life I will be busy indoors. I will be back later to catch up but wanted to wish you all a wonderful St. Patrick's Day.....wish I was in NY watching the parade. I know Tante Lisa is looking down at me and saying "remember all our wonderful times going"......and I do!

Hi ladies,

Well had a couple of nights of good sleep so not too surprised tonight. Such is life.

YAH I see you are back home and HUGS on missing your sister and staying in her nice roomy house. Kudos on the lost pounds.

I see you got to walk around more and don't blame you on going out in unfamiliar territory. Oh your brother is a great guy Eva.

I am sure she will be happy to see her fur baby again. Glad the therapist is coming to her home. Wow I didn't realize she worked as a RN for that long....kudos to her.....what type of RN was she any particular discipline?

Sorry about her husband.

Yes the cot came out YAH but didn't make any difference I just scratched there too....but finally went to sleep. Yes we need the rain here and the water. However, since we moved here they have been crabbing about water storage....however, the still haven't done anything about it.....oh maybe small amounts but not what they need too. We keep getting the ones that "we have to protect the smelte" ****&&& (fill in the blank)

Yes dampness is not kind to body but as I said we need it.

Have to go out this week but got it taken care of as Margaret will be taking us on Wednesday. I see lots of snow in some areas for your family YAH.

Chris kudos on the walks for Wednesday. Plus I see the stomach muscles got a workout along with the arms shoveling. Yikes on all the snow but such is life this time of year where you are. Same with Western NY, which is why we are now in California LOL Don't blame you for taking the car about all the work you did. HUGS on the tiredness and glad you got a short snooze in.

Had a great time with Mari this week Chris, and looking forward to more next week.

Well off to do a mail check and go lay down till it's time to get up.....such is life....had two good nights of sleep...

Hope you all have a wonderful "me day" for Sunday......

Sue

Hi All, I will be walking a lot more this week. :D Today I get to walk to work and then home again. The sidewalks are not too bad, there is still some ice in a couple of spots. :thumb: We did not go out on Saint Patrick's day and hang out at a pub and enjoy some Irish music. That was okay by me we still had a nice day and no crowds!!
Have a great day all. :thumb:
