Enjoy your roses, YAH! I hope they last a good long time for you. Glad you had a nice birthday/Thanksgiving. :D Congrats to your great-nephew on his marriage. I am sorry about the grandfather, and sorry too, about your cousin's DD. That's so sad.

I've never heard that about weighing after a workout either. I can see why it wouldn't be as accurate as a first thing in the morning weigh-in, because of all the variables that come into play later on in the day, but I don't know anything about expanded muscles. :?:

Sorry about your lost height, Bama but congrats on the looser clothes! Yay on the slow workout--increasing time under tension can be a nice variation. :thumb: Hope your knee feels better soon. Good luck to both you and hubby on your visits. I usually do Christmas decorations the Sat. right after Thanksgiving, but haven't gotten to it yet. I love salt lamps; they give off such a warm light. After son was here last year, he liked mine so much, I gave him one, and then he bought one for his sister for Christmas. Happy birthday to your DH!

I'm sorry about your sleepless nights, Sue, and hope you can catch up tonight. I didn't sleep well last night, but I rarely have two of those nights in a row. Money and Alex sound similar--he will have a basket full of tennis balls, but be barking for the one that rolled under the armoire.

I'll add opinion to the chorus, Chris--short workouts can be really effective, especially if you work hard in the short time. I rarely do more than 20 min. at a time anymore, and often will do 4 min. if that's all the time I have.

Hi, Bekah, I popped in on your thread to say hi there, but will say hello here, too.

I have a PT appt. tonight, so I'd better get moving here. We had a nice day, up in the mid-50's, so I got the side porch painted, as well as the mudroom ceiling. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same, so will try to get some weeding done after work.

Sweet dreams, everyone!

Glad to see you all here.

Morning Sisters, Just poping in for a few minutes before I leave for the Y.

Dentist appointments worked out well . Need to have some work on one tooth and I expected that . Other than that all was good and I am sore this morning from the cleaning . She really got in to there.

LOL Chris I got new scale yesterday and it said the same as old one. No increase at least .

Well I need to leave for the Y , BBL .

Enjoy your Thursday everyone. Oh I already did a short workout here at the house. It is such a habit to just get up and do one that I am still doing a short one before I go to the Class and today's class doesn't start until 9:15. I sure wish it was earlier but it is what it is . The one that we go to in another town starts at 8 and that's not to bad. When I was in Alabama I went to the gym at 5 , really liked that. LOL . See ya later.

Hi everyone! Well its Monday, which doesn't mean anything to me anymore:) Hope your all having a good one. Its a rainy day here and 40 degree's but suppose to finally go down and snow this week. Guess pretty nice to have mostly grass right now in Dec. though:) I did heat sauna One more time instead of getting out though, as figured I'm sure no more this winter:) Had a yard full of snow before but all gone for now. Would have loved to be by the lake with the full moon out though:( Guess it was pretty big coming up but by the time I see it here, its small.

Mo, yep, roses are still doing good and I brought some to town too:) Water and some sugar is what their getting. They look fuller now for some reason then when I got them. I hope cousin's are doing well and I left a few for son too:) Kind of wished DB and SIL had come down this weekend as I would have given her and then some to leave for sister too. They got upgraded to 2 dozen and a big heavy glass vase as they were late coming:)
Sure wish I had a painting bug around here as need so much to be painted. Your doing great there!

Bama, great on clothes even fitting better:) I wouldn't mind that but a Long way to go for me:( Chris, any walk you can do is a good one:) Keep it up and don't worry about the length or times you do them. I'm sure just having kids around gives you a lot of exercise too:)
Becka , I hope your doing well also? Sue, hope all is well there also? Sorry about the problems popping up though:( Thinking of you and wishing you all good things:) Sure am missing seeing all the xmas decorations in town or work etc.:( Nothing out here to go see. I missed all the xmas lighting and parades etc. Guess I have to look on FB to get any xmas stuff to see:) take care all! Watch the ice if you get any! :coffee:

Morning ladies,

Will have to catch up later....it's freezing here as we are only 34 this a.m, and only going to be 32 tonight too....and most of the week....boo hiss LOL

Seriously had flannel PJs on last night and Chuck actually put socks on this a.m., for the first time this year...so we can't complain.

Well off to get checks done, call Handyride, and eat breakfast, do our list up....hopefully will have time to get started in the kitchen.

Have a good day everyone....more RLW's for me.

Good Morning Sisters, Busy wrapping presents and decorating . Just sitting down for a spell to rest feet. . Winter has finally arrived here and it is nippy out for sure .

Have to go to Sam's later today and hopefully I will be finished excerpt for a few gifts coming in the mail.

Yah, Got some nice roses, I see. Nice gift for sure.

Sue got your grocery report and will read it tonight . days are busier than usual right now but I do sit down with a cup of tea and relax in the evening and check out the Hallmark movies.

Well Ken is ready to go to Sam's so need to shut down .

Enjoy the day .

Chris , When you watch TV , during the commercials get up and march or walk around . That would be about 6 minutes of movement . A nice mini workout .

Morning, No workout so far this morning. Cleaning out the frig plus finishing up the wrapping and then fudge making maybe to the store and and running the vacuum. I need to set up new Kindle that I got myself for Christmas so a busy day . Well keep hopping around so that will have to be the workout. Expecting snow today but you never know . Note to myself Buy a snow shovel !!!!!

Sue , from what I have heard it is very expensive to live in California . We probably wouldn't be able to afford it. Just saying . Maybe not true . Alabama for me is the state to live in . I guess it is really what you get use to . Now Ohio is more expensive than Alabama but I do like the change of seasons.

Time to move on.

Hi ladies,

Well another one of those nights woke up at 2:30 a.m., and still up at 4:21 a.m. Time for me to catch up...

I see you hit the stores a couple of Sunday's ago, Bama. Plus been working out with Leslie on Youtube.

I see you got your shopping and wrapping done for the grandkids too already.

Yikes on your sleep that Sunday night Bama. Don't blame you as I have done that gotten up and did cleaning, or prepping for cooking etc. Wow 15 miles of walking and a band too. Good luck with it. I also see you are doing some Pilates too.

I will start back up in January as usual with Pilates and go from there. Glad to hear your knee is somewhat better. Have you tried a cold bag of peas on it!

I see you got a lot of shopping finished too.

Some days the itching is not there and other times it is. I was able to skip the pill last Sunday....however, with all the cleaning and dust and stuff I have taken one every day so far this week.

Yeah been doing better with sleep with all the work I have been doing....however, some nights like tonight....just doesn't happen.

Glad you are enjoying the Silver Sneaker classes at the Y. Plus seeing a difference too in your body and clothes. Scale is not always the best indicator and you have to be sure it's not going funky either. As a couple of ours did over the years. The one we have now, is a Taylor and we've had it for quite some time and it's right on target with doctor's offices' one. Sorry about the lady at the Y closer to home. I am with you I'd rather go to the other one also.

Hope your errands went well and so did your Christmas decorations.

Yeah I know Bama, that dentist I went to, gave me a sheet of things that weren't covered and what they would cost....forgetaboutit...no freaking way in H&LL....I am not Rockefeller!

HUGS on the filling and the memories.

Oh Bama, I can feel for you on the Bone Density test measuring....as I was only 5 1' and 1/2 and now I am down to 5 foot....I don't even want to think what next reading will be. NOW NOW Bama, that's cheating at the primary's office. However, I know how it happens as we don't want to take our shoes off there. In the bone density room you have to.

YAH, I see you finally got some sun and wow 43 degrees too. Yup been there done that with the up and down temps in Rochester.

They had snow pics of upstate NY this week and I sent this off and posted here too....and this is why we are in California. However, been cold here overnight as in the 30s. Yeah I can remember when the 30's were warm to us LOL

I see you got your workout in with LS and got those beautiful flowers you showed me...you deserve each and every one....glad you got card too before you birthday.

Molasses, those sleepless nights have been less than before but still enough to annoy....like tonight...waking up at 2:30 a.m., scratching away....so just stayed up and read till computer was all done booting up and then did comics and got stories, etc.

Plus most important getting caught up with all of you....finally done with cleaning and house is decorated now too.

I see Money and Alex would have gotten along well with the tennis balls....yeah they are a hoot.

Chris, yup busy busy time at work this time of year and glad to see you got some walks in to and from work and lunch time.

If you can get a Taylor scale....do so....they last a long time.

Bama, I loved seeing you post more here...have missed you. Glad you are enjoying the Y and you're dentist appointments went well. I am going to have to call mine next week and find out what the heck is going on and see if I still have to see the referral etc etc.

Yeah me too on the soreness and legs and back hurting from all the cleaning....as I wrote in email...I am going back to regular schedule and hubby can "dislike it" all he wants. He's not the one dealing with it.

Bummer on that new scale, Bama...what kind did you get?

Chris, I see you had a good week walking and no biggy on Thursday. Hardly a slug if you shopped and decorated.

I have gone down pounds again with all the cleanig..up down, reaching and non stop moving for hours on end.

Thanks Chris, the lady across the way, Margaret took us to Savemart/CVS and will go with her to Winco next week; however, we forgot to say we had to go to the Dollar Store....so his nibs needs to get his patootie over there and ask her if that's OK ....as I am still busy with stuff.

If you listen to music, Chris, shake that booty for several songs, several times a day...that will help.

Yeah YAH Monday's are just Monday's now. I see you had rain this Monday and at least it's in the 40s. Sure hope it doesn't freeze and become ice...I hated the icy roads.

Glad you got a sauna in too. Your area is so beautiful up there.

I see you use the water and sugar trick too, YAH as I did. HUGS on those Christmas decorations in town and work and missing them.

I see another nice walk for you this past Monday, Chris, Yup I am done done done except for hallway lights, but I can't reach them so Chuck has to take them down for me to clean. Last year we couldn't get the front one down and Martine had to come and even he had a hard time.

Glad you enjoyed the bumper sticker funnies.

Bama, I see still busy wrapping presents and decorating. decorating is done as I spent all day yesterday after cleaning the bathrooms doing it.

Glad you took a rest for your feet and yes I see winter also arrived in your old stomping grounds too.

Hope you got your stuff done before going to Sam's.

Enjoy the report Bama, Glad you are keeping busy during the day and watching movies and relaxing in the evening....we do the same in the evening.

Bama, sounds like you, like me, Saturday got in some RLW's today. I see you got yourself a new Kindle for the holidays'. Enjoy.

LOL about the snow shovel.

That's because most people hear about San Francisco, LA and San Diego...lots of nice smaller areas that are a lot less expensive here.

Well I am all caught up and it's 5:15 a.m., here so off to do a mail check and lay back down and stretch out back till the alarm rings.

Have a nice Sunday, everyone.....and take some "me time".

Good Morning (almost afternoon) , Snow on the ground but not a lot . Went to Krogers this morning with Son. It seem to be an every Sunday thing . I least I get to see him for awhile. Got a Cheese cake for Christmas dinner which will be the Saturday before . Had a 5$ coupon on it and it was 12.99 so thought what the heck we all like them When I got to the check stand it was only 9.99 plus 5$ off so for 4.99 it was a deal . Size of a pie so it was the bigger one. Love food deals.

Did 4 miles this morning (indoor) some boosted walking as she calls it but it is really jogging.

Sue I got scale from Amazon , off hand I don't know the make . Nothing fancy as I have had those and wasn't impressed with them. I tested it with 10# weights so I know it is ok.

Got the fudge made for Brother yesterday and of course we had to eat some.

Almost done with the Christmas shopping and wrapping but need to make more fudge for dinner guests on Saturday before Christmas . Just Family but I like to send some home with them.

Nothing fancy for dinner .

I have a neighbor right across the street from us , a single lady and she is out cleaning off her walk and she also has the most beautiful yard . She works in it all summer . Works for FedX and the sad thing is she has never spoken to us. When we first moved here we would wave at her when we were leaving and she has never acknowledge us so we finally stop. Some peoples children!

Well I need to think about some Sunday dinner for the two of us.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone .

Morning ladies,

Image

Bama, good afternoon to you....don't miss that snow but enjoy! Loved Kroger's and glad you get to be with you son. I love great deals too as you know and that was a whooper of a one for you. I see you got your 4 miles in too...yeah I'd be indoors too. I loved the treadmill we had in .

No the Taylor isn't fancy either just weighs you....not into the bells and whistles on so much stuff today...simple works best.

Yeah I would have to eat the fudge too. friend from Illinois sends me chocolates each year and since I got her package already I am enjoying them. She laughs when I say thanks and I opened the package and took the chocolates out so I can have "one a day" till Christmas....so good...

Same here Bama, nothing fancy for us tonight either....just one of our Red Baron pizza's mmm good.

Oh we are lucky here Bama, as Margaret is really nice. She's the lady I talked about in email been here a year now and she took us shopping last Tuesday and to CVS also. Also going with her to Winco this week. Chuck just has to go check when and tell her we forgot we had to go to the Dollar Store....so we might be taking a cab or Handyride and Chuck, of course is opting for a cab. Whatever. I just need to get to the Dollar Store.

Have a good day, Bama and a yummy dinner.

I am off to take top sheet out of Lucy and put it into Ethel so I can put it on top of blanket and the bed will be done.

Have a nice relaxing Sunday all, take some "me time", as you all know I am.

Sue
