Happy Saturday morning all,
We have another good day in store. I forgot to turn the computer back on yesterday as I was outside a lot of the day. I did a bit of raking and cleaning up gardens while DH took our oldest to a bike swap for a new bike. He grew again. He is a good few inches taller than me now. I am glad he is not a shorty like the ol' mom. I checked on garlic to see how many were already poking through the ground (planted last fall). They are looking good. DH and I did get out for our first bike ride of the season. We went nearly five miles. Can't overdo it the first time out. A lot of people were out on the trail so we had to be careful. Coming back we were going to bike the waterfront but mother nature had it filled with water. We live on a river and this happens every year. Usually no big deal.

Great job on the music Becky! Learning new things is great exercise for your brain. Enjoying the hobby is a bonus too. sight reading is bad and I need to work on that more. I can't answer your bible question. Sad to say I haven't been going to church. Let me know if you get an answer. Cool question.

Hi Sue the cover just says Tae Bo Flex, it has a lot of red on the cover. It is a 2003 video I think. I don't even know where it came from. I must have picked it up from a bargain bin or something. Glad I did.

Oh Boss man I love your wry wit. I have been known to listen to some oldies while sitting on the back deck.

Robins are favorite Mo. I am usually awake for their early morning rendition at five. Yesterday I saw chickadees, robins, cardinals,purple finch and goldfinch. I hope you got all your baking done. Sounds yummy!

I just wanted to add. I think the old covenant is the old testament and the ark of the covenant is the chest or whatever they carried the old testament into battle to be protected. The new covenant is the blood of christ and communion and that christ died for our sins that came about from the last supper and the wine that jesus drank from symbolizes that and the wine glass that jesus drank from is sometimes called the holy grail but jesus didn't say that and i don't know if that is biblical. that is now interpretation. tell me if i'm wrong.

i won't talk about religion again it's just i was talking about it with a relative because i was wondering on that and it came up in church on good friday.

chris nephews both are tall. Actually all mom's grandchildren but one are in the high persecentage of height except one. nephew gained a lot of height around 14. now he's really tall over 6 feet. other nephew is only 10 but he was always a head taller than everyone else in his class and looked like he was in a different grade till recently now the other kids are catching up with him.

It sounds like chris, you live in a really pretty area. Biking on the water front etc. We have bike trails around our house. a lot of them but they are all on the side of the road which is fine usually. But a lot of times i prefer to drive and go on trails more quiet and without traffic. unfortunately i have to drive not just out door.

Just wanted to wish you all a great weekend with a blessed Easter Sunday also which makes it a special ME day too:) Was going to Finally have a sauna but since it turned out rainy, which I do like for it, but so humid and for the first one this year, not feeling that good with the humidity up as I want to really enjoy nice Long one:) I also see son and family are gone to CF's as he messaged me but I would imagine they took Henry the dog too as he never called me. I know he has so many things on his mind, work and all, that hopefully he didn't forget that he didn't ask me:)) So I'm not bothering him but just to be sure I will stick around here.
sis is having her DD and 2 's and their 2 babies and all their partner's over for Easter and it will be the last one for DS's hubby at their home as his name has come up at the nursing home so Monday he will be going in:( At least cousin's DD is top head there and other's we know are there and maybe even some work there so a good place. Just like the facility I worked at but up north for their county and it has 3 floors to our one floor newer one. One of DS's DD's are moving down state again, and another one with her DH and kid are moving up:) I guess some can't get used to the paradise up here:) In these days, I would not like to be close to a city like Dearborn. So maybe DS will even get down here as she has a better vehicle;)
Great on all the exercise Chris:) Love birds singing too but traffic here also. I even feed the ravens here:) Toss out old bread in pieces and then watch from window as they try to shove a few pieces in their mouth and then go:)

I grew up Lutheran, too, which I guess isn't surprising given that I'm a Minnesotan by birth and Lutherans abound in MN. understanding is that the Holy Grail is the communion cup Jesus used at the Last Supper, but I don't think it's referred to at all in the Bible, just other literature. (I have no evidence for that though, so I could be wrong.)

I like some Pink Floyd, but not all of it. I do like Wish You Were Here.

I like The Byrds, too, but I think The Birds must be a different group? I don't remember Ronnie Wood being in The Byrds.

No news is good news in this case anyway, Sue--I've always waited a week for a letter with clear mammo results, but when there was a problem, they called me the next morning.

Sorry about the sauna, YAH, and hope you get a lovely long one in soon! Yikes--hopefully your DS didn't leave Henry home thinking he'd asked you to dog-sit! I'm sorry about your BIL needing the nursing home, but it sounds like he'll be well taken of. And that should free your sister up a bit to visit with you. Enjoy your fish!

I am not enamored of gluten-free sourdough bread. It doesn't have that nice crispy sourdough crust I was hoping for, and I'm not wild about the flavor either. I'll try a different recipe next time, and if it's not any better, I'll brave the gluten and try making a rye starter.

I did get cheesecake baked though, and it came out beautifully. I made up sweet potato streusel casserole and it's in the fridge with the turkey, waiting for oven time. I'm only making turkey, gravy, dressing, mashed potatoes, the sweet potato casserole, and roasted asparagus. Not as much as I usually do, but still too much for 2 people. Oh, well.

I just put clean laundry away, and I think I'm done for the day. Wishing everyone good sleep and sweet dreams

i actually grew up baptist. i like lutheran much better though. a lot of lutheran churches are more liberal too.

I like pink floyd but am new to it except for songs on the radio and best hits cd. I'm not familiar with the Byrds. or ronnie wood.

You're right they are different groups, as the Birds were a British group and the Byrds were the American group you've heard featuring David Crosby. I have to say I have always liked their version of Bob Dylan's Mr Tambourine Man, as they found a way to add more colour to Dylan's great piece of raw acoustic performance.

Ronnie Wood was in several professional British bands, spanning from around 1964 through to the 1970's, including the Birds, the Creation, Santa Barbara Machine Head, with the future Deep purple organist Jon Lord, of which I've heard 2 of the 3 SBMH songs and also the Jeff Beck Group and a group with an older brother Arthur "Art" Wood, whom Lord also played with in Arts group the Artwoods.

I should say I was going off memory there, not referring to the wikipedia link Sue put up.

Speaking of music, one of co-workers and his gf just went to see Billy Joel in concert last week. Amazing to think that I saw Billy Joel in concert 40 years ago!

Parks and Recreation is one of favorites, Bekah, and Seinfeld. Curb Your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development are funny, too, although the humor can be a little twisted and sometimes crude. I've never seen Modern Family, but I hear it's good.

Chris, I see you had a nice Saturday. I see you got outdoor stuff done on Friday while hubby and son went to get a new bike. Hope it all worked out well. You and I share that shortness gene, Chris. Plus with age I am getting shorter too boo hiss.

MMM garlic...of all the things Chuck and I can't eat any longer we miss that the most...well that and mayo. I used to eat mayo by itself out of the jar....loved it. But only Hellmann's mayo. In fact we moved out west and I couldn't find it and nearly had a heart attack till someone told us that out west it's called Best Foods....WHEW!

I see you and hubby had a nice bike ride together. Wow good for you on the 5 miles.

We don't watch anything on TV anymore Bekah and the comedies we liked we bought years ago....LOL

Molasses, while other kids had other kinds of hobbies...I had music. I bought 45's with allowance each week, albums...plus helped parents loved music. I wrote the lyrics to each song for each 45 down after listening to it over and over. father told me if I played and sang "It's Party" once more he was coming in to break the record LOL So when I got "It's Judy Turn To Cry" I told him "hey dad there's a follow up song to "It's Party"....he groaned and shook his head. However, when I got Eddie Holman album he'd sneak it out on a number of occasions and listen to it on the record player they had upstairs. I go to listen to it and knew where to find it LOL

parents taught me to cha-cha, Lindy, waltz....you name the dance and I learned it. However, only bad thing since I had to lead to show I knew the moves.....yup you guessed it I led when I danced. Eventually got out of it with Chuck but with guys I just met or were on the dance floor and asked me to dance.

We had friends in Sacto, Bruce and Teresa and whenever Old Time Rock and Roll came out Bruce and I were the first out there boogying away LOL

Oh Molasses, how cool I love Billy Joel and lucky me did get to see him a number of times back east.

Bossman.....thanks for reminding me of Hassles.....I was born in NYC but moved to Long Island when I was 9 years old and it's a memory I completely forget....OMG thanks for a very special reminder.

Yes, I did hear the stuff BTW as a friend then was friends with the group and so got to go and see them practice.

sue sorry i forgot about the oxygen and of course you couldn't swim now. mom also was the only one that went to church in her family. She just enjoyed going even as a little girl. grandmother would drop her off.

Mo, i think netflix has all the seasons of park and rec so i will try watching that. modern family is pretty funny.

boss do you like high hopes of pink floyd? I really like it. pink floyd really has a lot of music with not a lot of lyrics sometimes and long intros into their songs before they sing. maybe that is how psychadelic music goes though.
