Hi All,
I have been reading posts and looks like everyone is doing well. Last night I pulled out the pipes for a practice session and was able to go longer than I have before. So that is improvement for me. I keep saying I need to start doing more pushups to help with lung capacity. Hmmm... Maybe time to stop talking and start doing. I did walk to work this morning.

Hi YAH good to see you pop in. Glad you are getting out a bit as winter is soooo long for us. I hope there is more sun and melting for you now instead of increased amounts of snow.

Glad your day went well Sue. I hope you got to see some great Doris Day movies!

Yay on your client Mo. I am glad things are working out there for you.
TTFN!

Sounds like fun, Bekah--and yay on your feet holding up so far! :sunshine:

Great job on the walks, Chris--sounds like spring is creeping up your way!

Glad you've been getting out and seeing your family, YAH. Congrats to your DS on the test! :thumb:

Thanks, Sue; I was actually a little happy about the running club bump since with floor shifts and new PT client, I had been going to the Y 3 times on Mondays! It's only 2 miles away, but that was still a lot of back and forth.

Hi, Bama, hope you've been having fun with family (and goose!).

Sweet dreams, everyone!

Hi All,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I worked a bit from home on friday as youngest was complaining about a sore throat. :( He is fine. I think he just wanted a day off. So there was no getting out and walking for me that day. Yesterday was rain off and on. So very much a gray day. Today however is supposed to be sun and cloud and I am looking forward to getting out and being active. :sunshine: The snow is melting back here and I am watching for spring bulbs to peek through the ground. I have some daffodils lining front walk that I put in last fall so I am looking forward to see them up and blooming. It will be a few weeks yet. Last week at lessons our teacher brought out some kilts for us to try on. So now I have a kilt. :thumb: :thumb: I am looking to see what else I need to go with it. The band looks after some of the outfit but we have to buy other pieces. I won't be piping with the band this year but by next summer I hope to be doing parades and concerts with them. We will see. It is goal to keep going with it. :D
Have a good rest of the weekend all!

Hi ladies,

Hope all is well with all of you. Been MIA for a while again, and wanted to be sure I got caught up today as Tuesday, I have to go to get mammogram done and bone density test. It take a lot of hours there of waiting, doing the tests etc. so I doubt I will be able to do mail. Going to be lucky if I can even get comics done. So wanted to be sure to catch up today....will be on pins and needles till I hear I don't have to come back again...been there, done that....and don't want to have to deal with surgery again.

HUGS on the weather and all the stuff YAH. Yes I heard about your dog sitting and I see you and Henry slept together. Glad he did so well and yeah I can relate waking up in the middle of the night to take them out makes it hard to get back to sleep. Even worse when they are a puppy and it's every 2 hours, like it was for Cassidy. Luckily lived in Lousy and just had to pull shorts on and put shoes on and in and out quick. LOL

Can't believe they are both that age already seemed just like yesterday they were born.

So glad that your son got the maintenance job. We both knew he'd ace that test and they are lucky to have such a skilled guy.

WE get those reading glasses too from Wal-Mart, YAH.

Sorry about your van and hope hubby can it all. Yeah lots of rain and not enough to pull up yet but soon again. I have to do them with the meds I take and having had to have the surgery once already.

Hope your weather stays snow free and warmer for you YAH.

Chris, I see you got some practice in with your pipes....good for you. You need to tape yourself and send a sample to me....I'd love to hear it.

Good luck with the push ups. Maybe an index card in a prominent place for you to see and log in on, on how many you did. Had a great time with Doris Day movies and can't wait till I can buy some more.

Great walks last Tuesday, Chris.

Kudos on the dance class this week Bekah and hoping your feet can handle it too. Plus some swimming classes too...I so miss swimming as I loved the water. Good for you on the daily walking.

Molasses, I see the running club bump worked in your favor, which is always a good thing.

Chris, I see you had to work from home Friday and glad to hear your youngest is fine. Hope you got out on Sunday for the stuff you wanted to do. Glad the white stuff is melting and good luck with your bulbs.

Oh how cool that you got a kilt you need to take a picture of it and post it for us to see. Sounds like a good plan for next year Chris and a lot of fun too.

Well off to comics, meds, breathing and all that fun stuff.

See you all on Wednesday....wish me luck please.

Sue

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday all,

Spring has sprung in Ohio. Flowers everywhere , the trees have buds on them and temps the last couple of days have been in the seventies. Don't know how long that will last .

Sue Here's hoping that all goes well for your tests and you don't have to go back. I never look forward to them either. One nice thing is that the Doctors/Hospital is very close about 2 miles or so and not a long drive.

Chris wow , sounds like so much fun with the band and Kilts. Mother in law always wanted to get back to Canada but never got to . She missed her home land especially as she got older and the kids were all raised. Glad some of your snow is melting.

Mo, how nice that the Y is so close . Ours is also and I really need to get myself up there and sign up . I would like to use the weight machines occasionally.

Yah, I also see that you have been Dog Sitting . Granpuppy was over a weekend ago . I so enjoy him . I was hoping I would get to keep him when they go on vacation but they are taking him with them . Bunner .

Well I have been sewing for the goose . it gives me something to do . I made an Easter Bunny outfit and am starting to work on 4th of July outfit .
We also went to one of Gdaughters Basket ball games . They won and she is doing well .
Out to dinner with our friends on Friday nights so really about the same here.

friend's Grandaughter who is 16 is getting a kidney transplant plus Bone marrow . Her mother is the donner . She was born with Fanconi and has had a time of it so say a little prayer for her if you will . She was not expected to live past 12 but will soon turn 17 . She is such a great and happy child . Much smaller than her classmates but insists on doing all that they do . Her name is Hope .

Not much else going on here . Take care .

Hi, just a pop in to say Hi and glad to hear all is going good for you all too:) Chris, glad you get out and wow about the kilts and maybe getting to do the pipes in parades and all next year! Glad your little one is ok:) We also had a few days of war and even got to 70's, and then, we had 80 mph winds and hail and rain one night that took a lot of roofs and trees down especially in old work town! MANY people without power for even almost a week as so many power poles also went down. They had trucks from all over come and help. We had power off for only about 11 hrs. and son in town has been so lucky to always keep his power even though down a few streets had theirs off. It went right through town but he just got the fringes of it:) That happened one night and the next night, even we got 10 inches of new snow!! So all was white again so has to melt again. I don't think too many buds were out or I hope not anyway. Hope you get your daffodils as I planted many one year and none came up and when I dug in to see later, the bulbs were all gone!!! Some had some yummies I think:)
Bama, I see you cute goose with its nice outfits and now the bunny one:) So great you can sew those outfits:) Sounds like Spring has sprung over in Ohio:) Hoping your Spring stays:) I only wish I had the YMCA or? close by but nothing and I don't do well by myself:)
Mo, glad you don't have to go quite so many time to your YMCA although close by:) I am waiting for some warmer stuff to set up at least small trampoline in garage so I can bounce lymph glands better:) Have to get someone to get exercise old bike from basement and put that in there also. I know I've been adding on lbs. like crazy now:(
Sue, was glad to hear things went ok for your appts. and tests and praying all of them show up great too:) Not sure if you got the rain or not now but hoping your back yard doesn't grow too much. Guess we're both the some sleep and some being awake too:( Hopefully you get full sleeps a lot more:)
Just had a bunch of dishes to wash so on when the oldies to work to:) They get you going. Yes, somehow Dh got the brakes and all done on the opposite side of the wheel bearing etc. he had a hard time to loosen up. With aluminum and steel, the salt just welds them together so bad! Its hard for him as the arthritis all over from too many times working on diesel engines in snow and mud etc. for SO many yrs.
Bekah, sounds great on the dance class and I sure miss swimming also as I could do that forever:) Just got to have a Very Private place to do it now and there is none around:( Not sure how the rest of me is doing for that either.
I needed to go for another blood test for TSH but had to cancel so got pills for 2 more months and then go as I had a bit of a messy nose and sneezing and head cold for a while there:( Too much being home I think:) Dh had this also before so..... I usually don't get sick as I did go 13 yrs. at work without being very sick and no flu shot either. Haven't got up north yet to see DS and she's been living there since Nov.:(
Well, you all have a blessed Easter weekend and take care everywhere:) C U :coffee:

Hi All,
It truly is a good friday here. We have the sun out and I got to sit on deck with hot cocoa this morning. :sunshine: Sitting there listening to the birds is form of meditation. I hope you are sitting down... I did 30 minutes of Tae Bo Flex. :D What a great workout! It is at the right pace and every now and then they hold a pose for a count of 8. I can't do most of them yet but I will keep at it. DH said he thought it was great to see me doing a workout again. :thumb: Maybe I will make him work out with me. Planning an active day today so I am sure I will be back.

Hi YAH, when I come back I will read your post but it is good to see you.
Good morning to all the rest of you.

Yay on getting out and enjoying the birdsong and fresh air, Chris! We've got the robins back and lots of chirping outside, too. And daffodils are up. :sunshine: Even bigger yay on doing the tae bo! Good luck getting your sweetie to sweat with you. :thumb: So cool that you've got a kilt to wear while you are piping!

Sorry you were sick, YAH, but hope you are better now and can get up north to see your sister. Are you waiting on better weather for the trip?

Bummer indeed on the lost dog-sitting opportunity, Bama. Happy sure is a cute little thing; you must have a lot of fun with him. Speaking of cute, I saw your goose decked out in her Easter finery! I'm praying Hope's surgery goes well and she and her mom recover quickly.

I hope you've gotten good news on your tests by now, Sue.

I picked up a turkey yesterday for DH for Sunday, so I'm thawing it today and will dry brine it. I want to bake a cheesecake tonight also, and a loaf of bread. I had bought a Cultures for Health gluten-free sourdough starter and I've been feeding it for the last week; I think it's finally ready to bake with. I've been making pancakes from the discard; even DH thought they were delicious.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter~

I was not aware you had heard the mid-1960's British group featuring a young Ronnie Wood .

I'm guessing however you meant actual birds though.

Afternoon ladies,

I see I have a lot of catch up to do again.....

I see Spring has sprung for you too, Bama. Our norm is 72 but we have been cooler this week and rainy again, and today very windy. Nice on Easter Sunday for the kids though which is a good thing.

Thanks on the doctors, Bama, yeah least favorite visit and 3 messages on late afternoon Tuesday, Wednesday and then Friday. heart drops when I see it but luckily two (no one there) and 1 CVS call today.

I see you are sewing up a storm for Tilly. Oh can't wait to see the outfits you are making. Congrats to your on the basketball games and winning too. Have a nice time tonight.

prayers go out to your friend's granddaughter.

Thanks on the tests, Chris. I see your temps warmed up too and you got some nice walks in too. Oh Oh yes I'd love to see a picture. I see another great walk too.

YAH, yeah your weather has been nutso there....way too much fluctuation. Yikes on all the outages, snow and stuff going on.

Thanks on the prayers for the test results, YAH. Yes we got some of the rain and supposed to get more. Yeah our sleep patterns are not the best. I treasure those nights I do sleep. You too, hope you get more snooze time too.

I am with you YAH love having the radio on while I am doing chores. Glad hubby fixed the van some.

I am with you YAH I loved the water....as dad said I should have been born a fish... LOL

Sorry again you were so sick and had to miss your appointment. Hope you can get up north to see you DS.

You too, hope your Good Friday went well and Easter Sunday is a good one.

To all of you ladies a wonderful Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Chris for you Easter Monday.

Chris, glad it's a "good Friday" there in the weather department. Glad you got to enjoy your hot cacao on your deck. I enjoy mine after dinner.

Oh Chris, I see we share the "love of birds"....they are in our backyard tree, on top of the carport by us, plus on our fence ledge, chirping and singing away....I love sitting and watching and listening to them too.

Which Tae Bo Flex workout did you get Chris, I wanted to try one!

Molasses, nope no news yet on the tests....I hate waiting...LOL

I see you will be busy cooking to day and over the weekend.

Hi there Bossman, long time no hear....I loved The Byrds.....and Ronnie Wood.

Well off to medicate, breathe and lay down for a short bit as it's late....

Hope you had a wonderful Good Friday and a marvelous Easter Sunday. I loved getting new Easter outfit, singing about Easter bonnet and going to the Easter parade.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Sue

YAH Get that trampoline and bike out missy. :)

MO, i really wish you were a cook at house! i really do!

Chris neat about the pipes in parades how cool is that!

Sue, if you really enjoy swimming there might be a nearby YMCA or senior center that offers swimming classes for seniors. mom's friend did that.

Speaking of music, i am learning pink floyd's wish you were here on the piano. :) I really like pink floyd a lot. the only two rock songs i know so far are open arms and imagine. probably not as pretty though as on a guitar. I can sight read pretty well but i still lack on timing and just i guess the musicality. Not sure if that is a talent or a skill but i will keep trying i enjoy it.

i learned something on good friday. there is the ark of the covenant that the israelites and king david had that carried the old testament and protected them into battle. i was asking the other day what the holy grail is. I'm lutheran and it never has been discussed. I found out today reading at church jesus at the last supper said the holy grail is the new covenant i guess to represent the wine glass that jesus drank out of and the new testament. tell me if i'm wrong but that was interpretation.

Have a nice easter weekend!
