So sorry you were not feeling well, Bama, but glad you'll be better in time for your birthday! Hope it's a wonderful start to a fabulous new year for you.

Hope your birthday was lovely, Sue!

Yay on getting your tires done, YAH, and seeing your DS. I hope the storm doesn't interfere with your dog-sitting, or make it more difficult.

Merry Christmas to you also, thanks, Chris and Bekah.

I did get a raise after all, although it's only $.28/hour! No wonder the boss didn't mention it to me at the review! :P

Hope everyone had a peaceful (or chaotic but joyous!) holiday. We took Money for a hike at a state park this morning then came back and opened gifts and ate lasagna.

Sweet dreams, everyone!

Just wanted to wish Bama a Happy Birthday also today!! Hope you have a good one and with your family coming today, you should:) Well the worse of the weather waited until last night around 7 pm so I was out of Marq. and over son's house in closer town but did come home around 8 anyway since I didn't know if night was going to get a lot worse. But, no snow really, just some sleet and ice covering what snow we have this morning. So I don't know where the Big storm went. Everything mostly closed yesterday so couldn't get water or do anything in town anyway.:) I wanted to get home for patches from church for today and tomorrow though. So thats what makes xmas. Its suppose to get up to 37 or so today and then back down to the Cold stuff and snow flurries a bit every day:( son and DIL got home later but their kids got left at her parents and her 2 sis's who are teachers also are there and DIL is going on her day off to get them on Wed. they have to work but maybe get more painting done at home also:) No daycare this week either. So hoping you all had a very nice Christmas and look forward to a Happy Blessed New Year also!! I'm hoping good weather as son from GB will probably get up here to his friends and all:) take care if any ice out there! Very icy for a bit here but I'm not out now anyway. :coffee:

Afternoon sisters,

Had a very Merry Christmas and yes the true meaning for us is there. Sorry you have been sick all week..and hope the Christmas dinner tonight went well.

Hope you got to check your mail today as I sent you a birthday card...in fact a couple just in case.

So what did you get for your birthday and Christmas too, since you celebrated today?

No worries on the missed b-day Bama.

Congrats on the 6 pounds and LOL about the bag of cookies and fudge. As I told you friend sent me some of the candies from Harry London....I have been better only had 2 over the holiday time. LOL

Don't have too many left so will finish this week. The two b-day cakes ones...probably won't get eaten as regular b-day cake is way too sweet for me.

Be good Bama, and only eat a piece a day....

It was a lovely b-day Molasses, and got a surprise gift in the mail over the weekend too. Hey a little raise is better than none I guess.

Ours wasn't chaotic but then just us so hard to be....but a very nice one.

So what did you get for Christmas? Oh and what did Money get???? Hubby????

YAH so glad the weather waited till you got to your son's in town. Sorry on the forecast and didn't pan out you could have stayed in town. Ah I gotcha on the patches today and hope you got them and you got to watch with no problems too. Brrr on the 37 I do remember when, like you, 37 was warm LOL

Glad the kids made it home too. I see no daycare this week. Hoping good weather for your son in GB too.

Well I am off to meds, etc

Have a nice evening all...

Sue

Happy Tuesday All,
I have been outside a couple of times today so far. DH and I cleared snow off of our driveway from last nights snowfall. I added to pile of snow in the backyard. :D We have above freezing temps and a lot of melting going on. No worries about it all disappearing though. I have a large puddle of water at the end of driveway on top of ice. I will keep trying to get that in the drain before it freezes again. :thumb:
We had a good Christmas. I got a colouring book and started it before our supper. We got a couple of movies and of course chocolate galore.

Glad you had a good Christmas Sue.
Glad you got out for a bit YAH and back safe.
Sounds like a lovely Christmas for you Mo.
Glad you are feeling better Bama. I too have been fighting a cold. It is almost done I think.

Have a good day all!

Morning sisters,

It's a very brrrrr 32 degrees here this a.m. It's dusting day so off to do a quick mail check, eat, dust, and do up a package to mail back and a regular mail package too for our mail carrier tomorrow. Then lots of other "little things" to do.

Chris, I see snow and cold and ice. The ice is what I hated most. Did chuckle over the "No worries about it all disappearing though". No ours in Rochester was there all winter too, like you the pile just kept getting bigger and higher!

I see you had a great Christmas too....we got a bunch of drawing books ourselves, colored pencil and graphite ones too. Plus movies and lots of reading books.

Fern Michaels new book, Crash and Burn comes out at the end of this month. Walmart has it on preorder so will do that and get it from them since with our shipping pass there isn't any shipping costs. friend sent me a box of Harry London's chocolates and I have 1 more piece left as the "birthday cake pieces" will go to the garbage as I don't like those at all.

Sorry to hear you too, having been fighting a cold Chris, glad you are almost done.

Well a good day to all....

Morning sisters,

Another brrrr morning of 33 degrees and apparently overnight earthquakes in Nevada shake the Valley. Chuck said after midnight the bed moved slightly twice more so than the time we were woken up in Las Vegas in the middle of the night when an light earthquake happened out in the desert.

I said to Chuck well that's it now for the next 17 years please LOL I was sound asleep and hadn't a clue. LOL

Well cooking up scrambled eggs today to freeze and have pics to get organized and up on line along with getting more computer maintenance done....far behind this year....with all the "other stuff" had to deal with. LOL

Wishing you all a good day and starting to "plate" what workouts to start with in January...

It's the only time we kraut as we really don't like it but being of German descent it's what we do each New Years.

Had lots of goodies such as fudge, breads, cookies and all the other Christmas goodies and Lost 5 or 6 pounds so far the scale is stayed the same . Now I am wondering if maybe i exxercise too much Heheh.

Enjoy the day . I hope to get caught up later this afternoon.

Happy New Year sisters,

I didn't get to 2017 plan yet but this coming week will be out of sorts so will start the second week of January. Had a nice quiet NYE's till close to midnight when all the idiots around us had to shoot off fireworks. They aren't supposed too but when does that stop anyone today.

So I was up a while walking around and looking out windows to make sure nothing got in our backyard. Plus had NBC on and they showed Times Square.

Finally went to sleep after 12:30 a.m. some time....

Bama, glad to hear you are alright again and I see an arm workout too. Oh I miss the pork and sauerkraut for dinner....again mom made the best....she'd add bacon to the sauerkraut....so good. Us Germans must follow our traditions. Unfortunately no good pork here and we can't eat sauerkraut any longer. So will go will the Italian side and have "pasta"....

Congrats on the lost pounds Bama....I went way down but after pizza last night back to more normal weight...so I am happy.

Well off to mail and "me day"!

Happy New Year Sisters!! :D
We had a nice new years eve. Our city put on a free outdoor concert over the evening with some open buildings for warming up and they had a small fireworks display and 8 and 12. DH and I went down for an hour from 5:30-6:30 to listen to a great local blues band. Then we came home and watched some comedians stand-up. I was the first one in bed.
Yesterday I made a turkey dinner for us (and no cooking for a bit for me :D ). It was fabulous and now the fridge is stocked for a while. Today I am still on vacation. Workout is done for today; 3 sets of 15 reps incline push-ups and assisted squats and 15 sec planks front and both sides. Then I headed out for a walk. Hoping to get 30 minutes each day but I ended up walking for 50 minutes today as it is so nice out. :sunshine:

Can't wait to hear your plan Sue. I know it will be a good one.
Hi Bama, glad to hear your cold is taking a hike. Good job on the workout and the weight loss.
Hi to all of you out there.
TTFN!

Morning sisters,

Hope to get to work on plan today after we get our grocery list done etc. We were slugs this a.m. and didn't want to get out of our nice warm bed LOL

Chris sounds like a wonderful holiday and vacay for you. I love blues bands too and good comedians. Who did you get to hear give you the chuckles, if you don't mind asking?

MMMM turkey sounds good...we just can't seem to get good ones here, hence the ravioli, or pasta type dinners for us.

Great workout for you today and thanks on plan....I am hoping....

Well off to do a quick mail check, grab stories, eat and the list goes on....

Have a great day,

Sue

Hey Again,
I kicked myself outside and worked on cleaning off the deck today. For some reason I am feeling a bit sore.
Sue we were watching Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. A very funny group of guys. Our cable had them on all night on one channel. Good luck with your shopping. Ooohhh I understand the "nice warm bed" effect. :funny:

Hi Chris,

I see you went outside for some deck cleaning....another thing I don't miss...now now no throwing any snowballs at me LOl

Oh love those guys, they used to all show up on Bob & Tom's radio show....a lot and I loved Jeff Foxworthy's show in Fox "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" too.

Yeah I figured you'd relate to that "nice warm bed".

Hope you sleep well tonight and tomorrow is a good day.

Sue
