Go easy then.
When you're ready, just go for light weights and see how it handles. It's not like one moment no pain, add another 2.5kg's and you get a relapse, you'd find a point where it just starts to twinge slightly, so you'd know your limit was just below that.
Then the next time after that go, for the limit, and just see if you can get It up a little more.
It's about starting very conservatively, and then seeing where your limit is with slight increases, then seeing if next time you can slighty go higher, until you're eventually back to best.
