I'm Back....need new routine..maybe

Post by Wip »

Hi guys,

Haven't been on in a while, been working out still and need some new routines. Just a reminder, I'm a hard gainer & still struggle with keeping the mass I desire, but strength is better than ever. I'm 43, so to be the strongest I ever have at that age is feeling good. This week will be one year since I started working out...started with just cardio then moved into strenghth stuff...this is the routine swanso5 recommended & been doing this for 3 months now except two weeks I was sick. (never got sick all winter then in summer it just hanged on and on) ok heres what I've doing:
1
squats x 3 sets
stiff leg deadlifts x 3
db row x 3
flat bb bench x 3
wide pulldowns x 2
bb shoulder press x 2
bb curl x 1
close grip press x 1

2
front squat x 3
slide board or wt plate leg curl x 3
seated row x 3
db incline press x 3
close pulldowns x 2
db shoulder press x 2
hammer curl x 1
diamond push ups x 1

3
walking lunge x 3
inverted row x 3
push up x 2
pullover x 2
clean and press x 3
reverse curl x 2
tiger bend push ups x 2

never really did the squats to much before...man I love the balance it gave me and flexability.

so question is change it up or keep doing it longer.

Thanks

Unless you really stall, even with diet changes, then switch up.

If it still gives you progress in the same ways as before, or at least maintains your ideal condition, then kepe it as is.

Don't need to something that isn't broken.

ya wasn't really wanting change..didn't know doing the same thing for several weeks into months, if there wasn't some other exercises i could do to work whole body but differant in routine (I guess).

I'm hitting max on some exercise & have some that I feel I can grow more before wall hits ( at least it feels that way).

Max being I'm having trouble getting past certain weight on certain exercise.

now that you have an idea of wht your meant to be doing maybe try a Chad Wtaerbury program

search google fore these:

big boy por bad boy basics (always get it mixed up)
the waterbury method
the anti-bodybuilding program

there's 6 months of training right there

don't underestimate the small amount of exercises for each though
