question

Post by ThePhantom »

So I need 2500 cals to maintain weight. I do weight training 4 times a week. I want to bulk up so I should be eating roughly 3000 cals? Correct? I should be eating 3,000 calories on days in which i work out but what about on days in which i don't work out? Should i be eating 2500 calories that day or 3000?

Eat a bit less than 3,000.

Remember on days when you don't workout, your body won't get the 1hr post-workout time window to have more Protein / calories, so calories will be lower anyway.

I've measured that I need roughly 2,500 calories to maintain weight (i've included level of physical activity, heights, weight, age etc when calculating this). Now to bulk up one should consume a further 500 calories?
Is this correct?
I want to bulk up.
How many calories should I be eating on days when I am working out?
AND
How many calories should I be eating on rest days?
I train 4 times a week.

Cheers

Well on training days increase cals to about 2,800 - 3,000.

On non-training days, probably just keep cals as is.
