Seeking guidance

Post by mollifien »

 hello everyone... rookie here trying to look for weight loss motivation n seek guidance from all u experts here.. i would say i am very obese and currently trying hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle and workout regularly.. i was weighing 324lbs n lost about 14 pounds in about 3 mths.. it's not much i think but it's a start.. workout consists of HIIT, weight training n jump rope cardio... diet is main problem cause i have a sweet tooth n unable to control cravings for junk food like pizza & fast foods.. even if i cut out junk food for a week, i tend to compensate for it on the weekend, and will end up eating more in that day, than the whole week... i hope that u all can give me more tips about weight loss workout and food nutrition especially how to control cravings for junk foods... cheers all!! :)

What times do you eat at and what foods do you eat at those times?

On weekdays, breakfast is oats , honey n blueberries, lunch is rice, chicken breast , vegetables and dinner is usually about the same.... weekends is usually the problem cause when i go out to eat, it's usually cravings for fast food n in between meal it would be doughnuts or ice cream n soda.. and i tend to eat n enjoy as much as i can cause i won't touch any of these foods on weekdays..

That's not bad, but I think your calories a bit too low and it may be hindering you.

I'd include some snacks between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner and about 2-3 hours after dinner.

Here are some options you can use, like microwave soups, baked beans and rice dishes, oat granola's, ham, turkey, beef, pork and chicken from a packet, low fat cheese, nuts, peanuts, fruits including tomatoes and cucumber, vegetables including pineapple, raw carrot and celery sticks, pre-boiled eggs, pre-cooked chicken breast and low fat yoghurt, nuts and peanuts, bread, sandwiches.

As for the breakfast, you could bulk that up a bit by adding things like there like eggs, ham, turkey, beef, packet pork, flax seeds or powdered flax, low fat cheese, peanuts, low sugar yoghurt, kefir and nuts.

You can buy powdered flax ready to go, or get some seeds and use a grinder.

I wouldn't say that I'm any good with cravings and diet. But pretty much I ate what I want when it is meal time although I try not to overindulge. Even during the weekends, I would still not overindulge in anything.

The way I deal with cravings now every time I feel like I need to look for some snack food, I would pop an eclipse sugarfree candy into mouth and suckle for a while. It would not really stop the craving but I guess it just makes me happy that I got something to do with mouth. I could probably have about 3-6 of these candies in a day. So I usually stock up on them >.< (another way is, stop stocking your fridge full of food, or easy to prepare food such as microwave food. I would open fridge and find nothing easy to make and nothing interesting, it would deter me from trying anything).
But that's just how I deal with cravings, you might feel differently.
