Counting Bites...an experiment

Post by jaynostic »

Good afternoon everyone. I'd like to share what I will be doing for the next few weeks to lose weight in an effort to get feedback on plan and hopefully let others know how I succeeded (if and when that happens)The plan is simple.

3 meals per day
10 bites of food per meal
no snacks
no calories from liquids

Other than the above I will not be changing anything. I currently am mostly sedentary as I work in an office. I may be adding a little exercise in the next few days but have yet to find something that appeals to me. For what it's worth I am 33 yo 6-2 296 lbs.

Even at ten bites & three meals a day you could still consume a lot of really bad calories. Its more about what you eat.

I would do the opposite, eat more frequent but keep the snacks and meals healhty. This would keep your energy levels up all day.

I've stopped drinking sodas, juices and sugary coffees altogether, its really just pointless because I'm usually drinking them with some food anyway, and adds up at the end of the day.

Hi Jay, good to talk to you.

Snacks are not a bad thing, as they can be useful in not lading up with too many calories in one meal and if you're only eating moderate portion sizes, 3 times a day you risk under eating and not getting enough vitamins and minerals.

It's a good idea to get no calories from liquid as these are often empty calories. The bites idea is a unique one. Let us know how it works out!
