Weight loss / exercising help

Post by oliviahealthyliving »

There may be a lot of similar topics like this but I wanted an opinion of someone outside lifestyle!

So a few months ago I said it was the last straw and wanted to get rid of I've been so insecure about!

I'm 5ft 5, about 9 stone 2 pounds now (I was 10 stone when I started a few months back) and to me, I eat as healthy as possible with the occasional cheat meal. I track all food intake using myfitnesspal and work alongside fitting macros that I have for it. Roughly between 1,200 calories a day to about 1,500 calories a day.

I workout 5-6 times a week using an 8 week workout programme from the Youtube channel Fitness Blender. This is a mix of HIIT, strength and cardio.

I did at the beginning start to see a difference but recently I haven't been seeing all that much difference. Please someone with some knowledge on things like this help me to see if I'm doing anything right, any tips on how to lose a bit more weight (I'm not looking for anything drastic but maybe to be fitter and leaner).

Thank you in advance! :)

Hi Olivia, good to talk to you.

I would say your calories are too low and it could be hindering your progress.

Sedentary females need around 1,800 calories a day and more could be taken in on exercise days. So I suggest you have 1,800 on non-workout days and 2,000 on workout days.

Hello Olivia!
It is always nice to see what someone wants to change its life and work on it! Fine fellow!
It is hard to say how much calories you need, because it depends of age, activity, weight and so on.
Try to calculate calories a day by yourself. I think this link will help you
http://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html

Also I can say, that you need have rest and sleep properly. It is important as well as to eat healthy food.
If you will not have results, try to change training programm. If you did cardio, start do squats, push ups, plank. If you do all this exercises, add some stretchimg or yoga or dancing. Change activity and feel free to do everything you want!

It's tough to say how many calories you need (this depends on each person and level of activity, etc.) but you might want to eat a bit more. Try adding more lean protein and fresh vegetables to your diet as well as some whole grains. See if this helps. You may want to up the intensity of your exercise too, if you can. Good luck!

Hi Olivia,

It is definitely beneficial to change up your routine because your body can get used to the same exercises and results will slow down. You should try signing up for Beachbody On Demand: https://www.beachbody.com/product/fitne ... -videos.do There are so many different workouts to choose from to add variety to your exercise routines so your body will never get bored. Plus it allows you to workout anywhere. They also have fitness guides and nutrition plans included. Hope this helps!

I would also mention that its not just the number of calories you take in, but the type of energy your consuming. Someone skinny who consumes 1500 calories a day could still be very unhealhty
