Pectorals

Post by jdx1589 »

I know its important to train the pectorals in different fasions to develop the different parts of the muscle (example: wide grip benchpress and close grip benchpress)
But how should I go about doing this?
I only want to know about the chest I have a routine thats been working i just want to know how i should switch up chest exercises

When I train chest, should I...
1 set wide-grip benchpress
1 set normal grip benchpress
1 set close grip benchpress

1 set wide grip inclined bench
1 set normal grip inclined bnech
1 set close grip inclined bench

1 set wide grip declined bench
1 set normal grip declined bench
1 set close grip declined bench

ALL IN ONE SESSION

OR....

1st chest workout day
1 set wide-grip benchpress
1 set normal grip benchpress
1 set close grip benchpress

Rest a few days

2nd chest workout day

1 set wide grip inclined bench
1 set normal grip inclined bnech
1 set close grip inclined bench

Rest a few days

3rd chest workout day

1 set wide grip declined bench
1 set normal grip declined bench
1 set close grip declined bench

So what should I do? Im not sure. And should I do more than 1 set for each?

close grip is mainly tri's so keep him for arm day otherwise do normal grip heavy (4 x 6) and wide grip moderate (2 x 12)...do flat for 3 - 4 weeks than incline for 3 - 4 then decline for 3 - 4 weeks and repeat...also try flat bb press to neck for upper chest...it's better than incline i've found
