Hi Guys,

Have any of you guys tried them?
I stumbled across this video recently and it's kind of persuaded me to give it a go.(it's also pretty funny)

Hi James, good to talk to you.
I have never been in your position, but this is honest assessment of this part of your post.
The bottom line is the patch and gum people can also provide the same life saving outcomes; but they are healthier than the E-people and don't expect you to use their products for the rest of your life, costing you thousands upon thousands of pounds in the process.
One e-company even advertised that finally the alternative to smoking has arrived. Hardly, because that's called not smoking and it's existed for centuries, the exact moment someone smoked for the very first time.
As for being healthier, well not smoking is healthier and a lot cheaper.
These companies or just full of crap; put consumers second to profit and are pretty similar to companies like BAT and IT, whose products you'll have used in the past.
The best, healthiest and most cost effective thing you can do, is use patches and gum and get yourself clean of an addiction like the one you have decided to abandon.
Make the smart choice, because you're worth it and you DO have the power to make that choice

They're not. They're just similar kinds of corporate whore outfits who want you hooked for life, masquerading under the banner of being healthier and bleating pathetically about not legislating against them harshly, because they have the potential to save millions of lives, versus traditional smoking.jamesthomas136 wrote:i am, thinking E-Cigarettes might be a better option.

I don't believe that e-cigs are a better option, but it's a step in the right direction. There's a few components to cigarette addiction - one part is the actual chemical addiction to the nicotine, and the other part is the oral fixation. That's why the gum works - you're still doing something with your mouth, and you're still getting the nicotine, so it makes it easier than quitting cold turkey.

That's just it though it isn't, because you swap one thing for another that claims to be healthier but isn't "healthy".Swoley1 wrote:I don't believe that e-cigs are a better option, but it's a step in the right direction.
It would be like trying to ween a heroine addict onto marijuana, instead of them trying to use morphine to get clean.
E-companies are the marijuana and the gum companies are the morphine.
I agree though that for some the cold turkey option wouldn't be a good option for some.

Well let me say one thing about the e Cigs . son uses them and at least now he doesn't smell nor does his car or his house or his clothes . So that to me is a good thing .

Hi Guys,
Coming back to the post and seen that it's divided opinions, I bought the Mist Mini Kit a few days ago and i'm really getting on with it, i'm using their Tobacco flavoured E-Liquid and i feel alot better already 'and don't have the cigarette smell' as mentioned above.
Let's hope i can keep it up for the whole month!

e-cigarettes are possibly better than smoking, I've read conflicting advice. However, not doing either is certainly better. However, good for you that you've decided to quit smoking cigarettes. You'll find so many different benefits in so many areas of your life. Great work.
