Slim down/tone

I work out at a crossfit type gym so regular day usually consists of quite a bit of weightlifting. I also try to run three days a week (fairly small distances, mind you). The problem I'm having is that I'm gaining a lot of muscle mass, particularly in thighs, and I want to know how to slim down that area without losing the strength I've gained? Any tips for exercises to help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hi Dfedders, good to speak to you.

I don't think you don't need to change your exercise regime to protect that muscle mass, just change your diet a bit.

try this and see how it works.

You cut 10g of carbs out of each meal and then replace the calories with healthy fat calories and then when body doesn't get all of its energy needs from carbs, it should source the remainder from fat, but you shouldn't be losing any muscle or almost none, because you're using a maintenance level of calories to try and get a bit of the fat off.

I agree with what was said above. I also do Crossfit and I've noticed when I eat heavy I always start to but on muscle weight (I'm a guy so this is good for me). Sometimes I will try to cut back on calories before a competition just to make sure I'm lean. This immediately leads to me dropping weight, I would definitely give it a try.

Great advice.
Also check the packaging on your whey protein, you want lean gains so low carbs, high protein (and high casein) is good :clap:
