I am interested in purchasing the Stamina X Ab/Hyper Bench 20-2018 in order to perform Hyperextensions (and as well have the added benefit of using the unit to perform decline situps):

main concern is, the unit has no footplate vs. something like the Powertec P-HC10:

instinct are telling me that because the Stamina 20-2018 lacks a footplate, it is therefore unsafe to perform a Hyperextensions??

Hi Addiaaj, good to speak with you.
I would think it is fine, seeing as how the video does not show anyone getting injured or maimed.

I am not sure if you are making a joke.... But in all seriousness, the purpose of advertising materials is not to showcase the negative aspects of the product.

No joke intended and yes you are right.
However if there was risk to the individual, then the way it's been demonstrated would say to me there is little to none, because if there was a serious inherent flaw in the product, then even the people paid or used to demonstrate it, would fall foul of the flaw and the video might have been impossible to shoot.
The best thing I can say is go to a shop that sells it and has a try before you buy policy if you can, to test it out for yourself, because if you feel a bit unstable on it, or not as the case may be, then either outcome might make it a bit easier to come to a decision
