I was just wondering is it harmful to exercise/run right after you eat?... sister said its bad for the metabolism.
Question..

well if you run straight after there is a chance you will be sick as your food will not have been fully digested, usually leave it for about 1 hour to 1 and half hours before running or exercise, also make sure you eat the correct type of food before workout or a run, something with carbs such as brown rice or pasta
Any decent Carb source will work, so Brown Rice or Pasta will work in small amounts, or a piece of Fruit, or a Yoghurt.
I'm to going to say running after eating would cause a negative Metabolic reaction, but you should try to give the food time to start working, which means allowing it some time to pass into the Intestines, and for the Villi to start allowing nutrient processing / uptake.
So I would say leave it for a minimum of 30 minutes.
