Morning sisters,

On tap for today....The Mari Winsor Pilates for Pink Workout with bands legs with warm up and cool down; this evening - Men's Workout (from years back) 12 reps 2 sets for each of the following: Alternate Curls -Biceps, Wall Stretches - Calves, Bent Over Extensions -Triceps, Shoulder - Alternate Presses, Back -Bent Over Rowing, Thighs - Squats, Abdominals - Bent Knee Sit ups, Forearms - Squatting Curls and Chest - Bench Press;

HAD TO DO WALKING LAST NIGHT SINCE ARM WAS KILLING ME!

Chris, great workout last night and have a nice visit with your dad today Chris. Know both your dad and mom are in prayers.

Bama, great workout this a.m. Hmmmm I think I might have that Prevention workout too, Bama will have to check.

Bama, yes, I love primary, no unnecessary appointment, she actually calls me herself and yes for me important for lungs and all the "stuff" out there. However, it's a shot for everyone, plus I believe Medicare covers it. Not sure though. Oh I know there are pitfalls with Universal healthcare too, Bama, but for the most part a lot better than the system here. mother had it and I have friends in France and have seen the scoop on France's healthcare on the CBS morning show a couple years back and all I can say is "WOW". Way ahead of us.

Well lots to do today so off to get started.

Great workout, Sweat Sisters! I'm skipping a morning workout today and going to a hot yoga flow class tonight instead.

I would avoid the ankle weights as they could be bad for the ankles. You are exposing a not very thick area of the body, with very small amounts of muscle and quite a bit of bone, to artificial stimulation and I am concerned about the long-term implications for ankle health using ankle weights.

You could still do the exercise you're doing but it would be better without the weights I feel.

Hey Gals,
I am back today but no exercise to report. I did have a good visit with Dad and he looks good. He has a couple more days before they decide what they need to do if his bowels do not settle down. He hasn't eaten for a week and is on IV. At least we were able to talk to doctors and find out what is going on instead of being in the dark. Oh, and sister lodged a complaint about the nurses. Since she is a nurse she does know what their job should be and what they are not doing correctly.
Hot yoga sounds heavenly Mo! Hope it was a good one.
Sorry about your arm Sue!!! :( Hope you got some of your workout in last night.

Morning Sisters,

Chris hope you get all good answers from the Doctors . Got fingers crossed for you.

Bossman , The ankle weights are only used on the Hip Flexion Hip Extension , Hip Adduction and Hip abduction and calf raises. Thanks for you advice . It is appreciated . This is one of Prevention's magazine workouts from a few years back .


This morning only a short walk on the Treadmill but did the follow upper body . 3 sets of 15 with 10 and 15# weights.

Chest fly, chest press, dumbbell pullover, bent over row, Lateral raise( I only use 5# on these), shoulder press biceps curl, triceps Kickback and ab crunches.

I am off to the eye doctor . Having trouble with the one. Got rid of a sty on the lower lid and now the upper lid is swollen . Been like this for a few days so thought I better get in to see the doctor.

Morning sisters,

Well had to skip the weight workout again, one I was too tired and two arm still hurt, rolled on it when I napped and aggravated it again.

On tap for tonight is part 2 of that Men's Workout - Abdominals - Pull Ins 15 reps, Obliques - Twisting Reaches 15 reps on each side, Abdominals - Stiff-Legged reaches - 15 reps, Obliques - Side Bends - 15 reps, Abdominals - Pull Ins 15 reps and Obliques - Twisting Reaches 15 reps....WISH ME LUCK...if not I will get a walk/jog in place/dance workout in instead.

Glad you had a good visit with your dad, Chris. Glad you were able to talk to the doctors and good for you sister. continued prayers for all of you. I walked Chris, so did do something.

Great workout this a.m. and good luck at the doctor.

Well I am off to check mail and eat, vacuum and see if I go with Chuck or not....

Good walks Sue! Sorry about the arm. Looks like your workout tonight doesn't involve much with the arm.
Great work out Bama! Good luck with the doctor. Hope it is an easy !

Chris, great that you got in a walk today. No it doesn't so hoping I can do that one but tired today so we shall see. Learned long ago NOT to do weights but you aren't "awake enough" LOL

Well off to mail, and then some off line stuff...BTW sent an email earlier before lunch for catch up for this week and the GROCERY REPORT....plus some sad news on ice cream....won't let the cat of the bag LOL

Have a good rest of the day Chris, and same goes for all...

Calf raises are a potentially bad exercise with ankle weights, as your applying dorsi-flexion to the ankle whilst having weight around the joint, but unweighted or using some dumbbells or a barbell, a perfectly acceptable exercise.

Good Morning All,
Last night I did lower body work with no weights. Lots of lunges and squats. I have heard good news about Dad, he has been transferred to city so much easier to keep tabs on him. Also he was eating yesterday, thickened liquids, with no nausea. yea!!

Thanks for the tip on the ankle weights Boss Man. I will keep that in mind as well. I have ankle weights but I haven't been using them lately.

Sorry about the ice cream Sue! What a great store person though!! :thumb: I hope you got some type of moving and grooving in.

Morning all,

Pilates and then a short session with the Band also 40 minutes Treadmill.

Bossman , Thanks for the info on the ankles weights >

Antibiotics for the sty I got rid of it on the bottom lid and then it decided to move to the upper underneath lid. Much better today swelling has gone down some but still there but not as sore.

Chris glad your Dad is being moved closer for you. That will make it easier on you .

Sue, Haven't read you report yet . Well later since the eye isn't bothering me as much. One thing did workout for me . I had an appointment for regular eye exam next week and he just did it all yesterday so that part is over.

Mo, are you on your way to your Moms or there yet . Maybe you said the 11 the. Have a safe trip

Morning sisters,

On tap for today....The Mari Winsor Pilate for Pink Workout with bands and will do arms with warm up and cool down; this evening - walking/jogging/dancing...will start Men's Workout scheduled for this week next week as was up most of the night so by tonight know I won't be up to a weight workout.

I did finish book at 3:30 a.m., and tried again and last I looked it was 4:45 a.m., so got some sleep, but remembering waking up and going out and doing that over and over....I guess body said "oh come on I gave you the past couple of weeks"....GRRRR

Well FedEx sticks again as they didn't show up and then they had the audacity to have in the notes this a.m., that they came at 4:57 p.m. but "no one at business or home"....yeah we were in the KITCHEN....we were looking for trucks....NO ONE so that's a crock of bull! Both Fed Ex and Cannon will be called today. Chuck is livid. They say "out for delivery" again this a.m.

Great workout last night Chris, and doing YIPPITY SKIPPITY dance for your dad. Yeah favorite....loved this little chocolate race cars. I will write corporate today. Yes, SaveMart is a wonderful store and we have known many of the checkers there for 15 years.

Awesome workout this a.m. Bama. Glad you got some antibiotics for the sty and that it is already doing better.

Great that you got your eye appointment in at the same time...Bama.

Well I am off to eat, workout and lots of "other stuff" on tap for today...one of which is to cook up fish up for tonight and chop up some diced peppers to add to corn....to make up own "mexicali corn" as side dish
