WOW February 16th to 22nd

Thanks Sue! So lovely and hard to think there are places who have blossoms on tree's already! We live in the Twilight Zone I guess :wowzer: May go 20+ degree's below 0 tonight yet but hopefully a bit warmer in day. Up to 25 maybe. Kind of hoping none of the ladies who don't work the weekend try to get a 3 day weekend by calling in tomorrow. I know, I'm getting lazy and hate being called in and have to hurry in then I guess.
Hope you had a good nap Sue also and a good night also with good sleep. I didn't do much today. Tried to look for some pic's but have to move so much stuff around yet to get to old big drawers back of couch etc. Didn't start doing that yet. Just looked through some pic's right by me and their all scenery ones. Did find our hospital menu for when baby was born so will put that in the 1 yr. old's pkg. as he is his dad:) Also reminded me that baby was born in the morning after 9 a.m:) I know I had terrible pains and tried to go natural birth all the way but ended up C-section anyway:( He was 9 lbs. 5 oz. Anyway add that to it:) Well hoping everybody had a good sunny day? Not snow? And enjoy your night also.

Wow, that's a big baby for a little one like you, YAH! Neat idea on the menu. :) I had C-sections, too, but kids weren't even 8#. I swear that neither of them had a soft spot though--no fontanelle, just heads like bowling balls! :wowzer: I hope you didn't get called in today and could stay home and warm, or go do something fun. Glad your sons' water stayed on. We are getting up into the 40s next week, so I'm looking forward to that!

Sorry about the big bills coming due at the same time, Bama. Hope the nicer weather is getting people thinking about moving so you can get your house sold. mom and stepdad bought a smaller house in Dec. and have only had one person come look at their old house since they listed it near the end of Jan. (They are near San Antonio.) Nice that you have all those good memories of your dad. :)

Sounds like you have lots of good dad-memories, too, Sue, and mom and gramma, too. Lovely picture--is that from this year already?

We had 6" of snow yesterday, and last night I saw 5 deer eating an evergreen in our back yard. We've had snow covering the ground for more than a month--the poor things must be having trouble finding food. Maybe by next weekend the grass will be showing again though.

I have the Vietnam Vet pickup coming in the morning, so just gathering stuff up to get rid of. And need to keep studying for exam on Tues. morning, too. I can always take it a second time if I have to, but would much rather pass it the first time and be done with it.

Happy Friday, everyone~

Don't worry YAH, I deleted the original.

What I have been doing tough as I'm sure you might be aware, is I've been slightly reducing the size of your post text. I appreciate you might have one or two concerns regarding your eyesight, but obviously I'm trying to find a compromise between your needs and other readers not having large text right in their face, just in case that's a bit off putting.

So the way this is done is when you use the "size" function to resize text, if you alter the size number in your post from 150 to 120, you can get a text size that will probably suit your your ocular circumstances, bu also not look too full on for other readers :).

Thanks Boss man! I guess I only made it bigger to make it easier for other people as I have very good eyesight:) And then they would come out in bold letters also so kind of very big looking:))
Well just saying good night to all as I got back from town later. Went son's about 1 p.m after Dh had gone there and showered and left for home, and I had gone Shopko before I went there to shower also and relaxed and let the cats out for a bit and saw both sons and left around 8:30 pm or so. Nice big moon out there tonight!! Its only 0 here now but hopefully wouldn't get as cold as this morning. Warming up a bit also for the days. Got some birthday cards and thats about it.
Mo, you must have got some of that storm then? Poor deer up here as they still have a long wait unless their south of us:) then they will start crossing that old highway I suppose:( I think I said about cousin's dog dying? He didn't last too long once they brought him home but enjoyed his last days:(
Sue, Love the blossoms in the tree's!! Hard to believe it can be like that in one place and do different in another but thats the way it is hey?
Everyone enjoy your weekend as best as you can! Have a good night also

Morning ladies,

Back later to catch up on all that is going on. Oh YAH this is California and while everyone is cold and snowy for us it's sunny and warm and might even break some records heat wise, we shall see. LOL

I am off to check mail and other boards while waiting for the time to end for thyroid pill so I can eat breakfast, clean bathrooms and then Chuck and I are going out to take our Spring pics as lots blooming here and hoping the pink trees we saw last week shopping are still around.

A great Saturday to everyone and take a moment to "think of the Selma march" remember we were all of age back then to "remember" very well.

I'm so sorry about your cousin's dog, YAH. So heartbreaking to lose our companions. It was caused by Beneful? Was he young yet? :( We did get a new pile of snow on Thurs., but starting today it's supposed to warm up, so maybe it won't last long.

Happy weekend to you, too, Bama!

Enjoy your walk today, Sue; hope you find lots of "Kodak moments."

Time to eat lunch and get moving here.

Good day! Hi Bama and enjoy your day also!! Sue, you got the magic weather for sure! Its a high of 27 degree's so far today but NW wind keeps it cool! Such nice moon lit nights now that I wish I could sit out there late:) Did see it on way home last night and all the stars.
MO, they thought of the dog food since he was eating it but turned out not to be that. It was called leptospirosis which is caused by maybe contaminated water or wild animal excretion or? He was vaccinated for it but guess it didn't work? They have woods and swamp behind their house and he probably got into something:( Don't know how old but not too old? Yes very sad as he sure followed cousin around and are retired and that was their furkid:)
Guess some not real warm day ahead but Tues. suppose to get up to 40's for at least one day:) course i have to work that day:( You know I will be hot  I guess the Builder's Show is going on in Marq. for the weekend. Told married son they should go, as maybe they would find some cheap tips on stopping water in basement or something to do with their garage floor that slants towards the house so the water goes there:( Hoping he can get snowblower in between fence and garage to get less there later. He needs to work on his Bump coming into his driveway also on Tues. maybe when its warmer. Ice and snow in that. Guess the kids are in daycare 4 days and the 5th, they have the babysitter come in for so the dog is in his kennel again for the day unless she comes home to let it out sometimes:( He seems to like it though but I hate to see one in for so long:) When she falls asleep she leaks a bit though too. Wouldn't mind her here except for the muzzle and eating up any little clothing or socks etc. Our floors are not all cleaned up yet;)
too much to get into here as we don't have all the room they have either. And with the leaky stuff:(
Well, not sure but I think I will at least go to next town to son's anyway, maybe wash hair and get more water. Want to watch the show tomorrow morning, Finland Calling as the host who started it 53 yrs. ago is ending it this month:(( Only Finnish kind of show in the U.S. I guess and I know a lot of residents at work sure love it. He's in his 80's maybe. Hope they have videos up so I can watch them anyway at anytime since I usually miss it with patch anyway now. Have a very great Sat. everyone and enjoy and look forward to your ME day tomorrow too:) :coffee:

Good morning ladies,

Boy do I like gaining an hour, rather than losing one LOL

Well Lucy is chugging away with the sheets and nice clean sheets are on the bed. However, two bushed people here.

I am off to a much anticipated "me day" and will be back after getting all "cherry blossomed".....

Just wanted to say HI and wish you all a good me day and also to wish YAH's grandson a very HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY!

Good day all! got patch so really didn't watch much of the tv show:) Hoping there's old shows to watch but not sure or if we can buy some later to watch. End of March is the end of the Finland Calling live show anyway.
Its cloudy and says maybe snow but I don't think we will get much and its in 20 so that it really don't stick on roads too bad. Maybe a bit sleeting snow like yesterday. Its grandson Tommy's First birthday today! Guess they went out to eat for brunch at place they went to with their DD when she was one. Party is for both of them next Sat. since their bday's are both in March. Wish I was closer to them also:(
Anyway, not sure whats up today yet. Other son's are both working until 7:30 pm so who knows? Dh went to pile up the boiler at his work with the heavy wood they got there and Lots can fit in there so hardly none left for them to put in Mon. unless one of them cut and split some up. then he went to check on neighbor's house and all since their suppose to be back from Ariz. and Mn. today. He checked lady's house down the street and the oil fuel has gone down a lot since Feb. has been the coldest month we've ever had in Feb. but I think she figured the last fill up was it so, no one's plowing anymore there either. She shouldn't have any problems though when it does end as should be warmer a bit then and she did empty water out and might be some in pipes but not enough then to freeze. Plus Dh has to go and check on water in their little spot of a basement they have also when snow really starts to melt ever as there's a lot there! Guess he's the house sitter around here:)
I would love to house and pet sit myself:) Stay at their house and have the pet too:)
Well, Sue, have a lovely cherry blossom ME day and hope you catch up the lost hr.! Hardly notice it as I didn't have to go work at least:) Hope you are feeling better with all your parts also? I'll bet that walk was nice to do and you's should do it more often while you can before the pollen really comes in:)
Mo, good luck on your studying also and I just know you will ace that test! But enjoy your ME day also!
Bama, hope you are having a very nice ME day also and I'm sure the weather is nice down there? Wish Di could join us too but I know she had a big dinner to do so maybe soon she will pop in once in a while too  Everyone here enjoy your ME day and have a very good night also if I don't get back. :coffee:
