Oh Sue, hope you are feeling better now. I don't sleep well either . With company here and then our little mini trip no sleep at all. Last night was good and I hope tonite will be also.

Chris great on getting outside . I miss outside walks and here you can walk all year round as we have no ice or snow but poor feet won't take the pavement any longer . I keep searching for shoes but no matter what I buy it's the same. I am thinking of getting the Go Walk ( i think they are called) by Sketchers to see if they are any better for me.

Mo , Great workout today . Have a wonderful evening all.

I take it by grouchy, you didn't mean like that Oscar The Grouch character, that crouched in a rubbish bin and was a bit snarky to passers by :funny: :funny:

Morning Sisters,

Got a Cardio workout in today. Decided to give Richard Simmons a chance this morning.

Sweatin' to the Oldies 3. I really enjoyed the music and Richard also. He is so funny and a nice man.

Sue hope you feel better today. I know you are still in bed as it is only 630 here .

Off to the Doctors today for Blood work . Every 6 months . Years ago it was once a year now they have upped it to every 6 months.

Morning Chris and Mo.

Morning sisters,

On tap for today....I hope....Evening workout walking/jogging in place/dancing. Didn't do a workout yesterday at all, morning or evening.

Hoping to do Evening workout walking/jogging in place/dancing tonight.

Nice walk yesterday Chris and thanks so much for the hugs.

Great workout for you Molasses.

Thanks Bama, yes doing a bit better this a.m., but will give foot the day to be sure.

LOL Bossman no just a grouchy old lady in a lot of pain.

Ah Bama, our buddy Richard, I see this morning. I will have to pull out his book and album I have as he has some workouts in there. I will go and put a note into tickler file.

Yes, I loved his sense of humor too and music.

Good luck with the blood work. I have to make a primary appointment soon, keep putting it off. As I know she is going to want to go over blood work I got and do more. And, of course, that dreaded colonoscopy thing. I am going to print out the other thing I found and bring it with me for her.

Chris and Molasses, good morning to you both too and hope you get a nice workout in today.

I am off to eat, vacuum and take the rent check to the office and then a LOT of paper work today.

Have a nice day,

Sue

Good Afternoon Sisters,
Just returned from a brisk 30 minute walk. It is a lovely day here.

Sorry about the missed workouts Sue. I know we are the hardest on ourselves when we miss. You needed your rest. Good luck with your dancing tonight.
Great workout Bama! Richard is always a great pick me up.Good luck with the blood work. I wish I had some insight on shoes for you to walk outside. Pavement is the worst. If the park was closer I would be there on a nice wooded path.
Oh Boss Man, now I have a picture of Sue in head hiding in a garbage can.
Great workout yesterday Mo. I hope you are getting in your meditation and life is getting better. Hugs!
Have a great day all!

Yoga for Flexibility for me today.

Yay on a nice outside walk, Chris--that's so good for the head as well as the body. :sunshine: I am doing some meditation; I'm aiming for a 3 min. meditation 3 times a day, but it's not a habit yet. Lots of stuff going on and normal sunshiny optimism has taken a bit of a hit. But I shall adapt and overcome.

Hugs on your pain, Sue; sorry you had to miss your workouts yesterday, and hope you get your dancing in tonight.

Sounds like a fun workout, Bama. I don't think I've ever done a Richard Simmons workout, although of course I remember the ads from so many years ago. Good luck with your bloodwork; hope all is well.

Have a great day, everyone~

Richard Simmons may well be a nice man, but he is a bit of a loon. I'm not sure what he puts on his cereal in the morning, but It's something else other than just milk :funny: :funny:.

Good Morning All,
Last night I started the first of 4 weight workouts per week. I call this one Upper Body A and it consists of pushups, bent over row, shoulder press, triceps extension, DB curl, and front raise. I did 3 sets of 12 reps. Started a little lighter to see where I need to be.

You are right Boss Man, Richard is a bit goofy but if you are enjoying the time you are more willing to stick with it. :)

Great work on the yoga FitMo! I remember when grandfather died it was very hard. Even sitcoms on TV made me cry. That was many years ago. Yes our whole personality changes as we deal with our grief. Here are some more hugs. You will come through. I myself have never been good at meditation. Good luck! :thumb:

Good Morning Sisters and Bossman , LOL about Richard Simmons. True never a dull moment when doing his workouts. He is a looney for sure . I do like the music he uses in his workouts . Most of todays you can't sing along with cause you can't understand what they are saying . Maybe just generation . When I was younger I would work out with him everyday . It's been a while and I must say it took it's toll on me . I am sore in places that I haven't been sore in for awhile so it was all good.

Today's workout was the same as Mondays. I do Weights on Monday, Wednesday and Friday Cardio the other days. Sometimes I switch up the days.

I also walked one mile using that as warm up. We are having some beautiful weather as in the seventies so a walk outside . Feet didn't do to bad but then I only walked a mile . I also watched Turbo Jam while doing weight routine . I picked this DVD up at a GW or Thrift store a while back . Want to work that into March Rotations.

Have a great day everyone . Do what you can as no matter how little you do it all counts.

Have you every heard anyone say after finishing a workout " Gosh, I wish I wouldn't have done that workout "

Hope your dad is doing better .

Mo, good workout yesterday .

On Richard Simmons if anyone is interested there is a freeby on You Tube.

So who was the very first person that started exercising ?

Morning sisters,

I did get walk/jog in place/dancing done last night, plus walk and back to the office too, so a good day of walking. I will be doing some more walking/jogging in place/dancing this evening. As for this a.m., will be on feet most of it with dusting all the furniture, knick knacks and as you all know I have a LOT of them LOL as it's a Pledge day of the whole place, so lots of movement involved LOL

I see you got a nice walk in yesterday and had some nice weather too, Chris. Yes, I got walking/dancing in last night. Yeah I had to laugh at Bossman's image too.

Great yoga workout Molasses. HUGS on the stuff going on. Thanks for the hugs back and yes got walking/jogging in place/dancing done too.

I see we are all Richard Simmon's fan. I have his first album he came out with and his first book and used to watch him on TV for years.

Oh Bossman, I haven't seen him now but years back, he was just fine, just a very upset, excited about exercise and making it fun kind of guy.

Great job on the weight workouts Chris, as you know a BIG fan of the weights. Just wish I could do what I did years back now....old age and a major illness boo hiss, but thankful I am still here, so I will take it LOL

Oh Chris, I see we both did the same with our grandpa's. I was so upset after I got better from the very very bad flu I had gotten (when I worked at U/R) I was home with 104 to spiking higher fever and sick for 2 weeks. He passed and I couldn't fly to the funeral. Oh course grandma understand but parents, yelled at Chuck about it. Just another nail in their coffin as for our relationship. grandma listened and said don't worry you can't help being sick and the airlines wouldn't let you on the plane anyway.

Oh Bama, you hit the nail on the head as I can't understand half of the new music either and like yourself love Richard back in the day and that is the ones I would work out too.

Great workout this a.m. Bama and I see we are sharing the 70s as we are going to the 70s Friday and through the weekend they say 77 for Sunday....crazy weather.

As far as I know Bama, Jack LaLane was the first person I knew started exercising, but I am sure with all those magazines we had back when us old folks LOL were growing up there were others before him.

Ohhhhh cute Chuck just showed by a pic/video on our Google Plus of a cat kissing both a guy made for his cat 25 cents and the guy was getting a kiss from his cat...oh and then a cat and a rabbit walking.

Well I am off to eat and dust dust dust.....ya ladies know what happens soon....yes yes yes....SPRING CLEANING......

Sue

Back from 30 minute walk at lunch time. Another lovely day to be outside. We hit our first temp above 0C (32F) for the first time in a long time. Very exciting for us up north!
Yay glad you got your workout in Sue! Oh I know about the spring cleaning but you are the happiest about that.

Great workout Bama! Glad to hear about the sore muscles. :) I think Sue probably is correct on Jack LaLane but there are a lot of cultures who have been doing such things for centuries like the Greeks, Romans and the Japanese. Interesting to think about.

Morning FitMo, Angie and Dianna!
