Workout to get rid of bony shoulders?

Post by xXhydroXx »

Hi,
I'm just wondering if someone can help me get rid of bony shoulders. I'm 17 and I've had them since I was about 13. I'm quite a skinny guy, about 6ft 3" and only weigh about 8.5 stone. I'm not a hugely active person and I do eat a fair bit, I just don't put weight on for some reason (seems to be the same for grandad as well).
All I really want is to make them less prominent. I'm really not comfortable with top off because of them and to be honest I don't like looking at them.
I want to avoid the gym for the time being as well. I've got access to a set of 5kg weights, a treadmill and rowing machine which allows for other exercises (link below).
I've also got a bed which allows the mattress to be lifted up as well which could be useful.
So I just want to know if someone can recommend me a workout to help 'hide' shoulders. I'll be really grateful, thanks!

Hi Hydro, good to speak with you.

This sort of thing should work for you and it only requires your body weight.

Squats, 2 sets, 10 reps

Lunges, 2 sets, 10 reps

Deadlifts, 2 sets, 10 reps

Bent over Rows, 2 sets, 10 reps

Bench press, 2 sets, 10 reps

Shrugs, 2 sets, 10 reps

Planks 30 seconds.

In relation to the training ideas I gave you above, your workouts and cardio schedule could look something like this.

Day 1. Weights

Day 2. Cardio

Day 3. Weights

Day 4. Day off

Day 5. Cardio

Day 6. Weights

Day 7. Day off.

This prevents you doing 5 days straight and 2 days of nothing, as I think that's allowing too much consecutive taxation and 2 days of your body doing nothing, slowly starting to adjust to it, before 5 days of grind again, which might take the edge off progress potential, so the 5 split days should be better for you.

This might be something for you to try.

You might think about adding more mass to your bi's and tri's which will fill out your upper body. You could also work shoulders as well to give them more of a shape you would like.

You've just got to add mass overall. Eat eat and eat as much healthy food as you can while lifting heavy weight. You're going to fill in. I promise.
