Hi Miss J, good to talk to you.

I'd say just do the Zumba in what you're wearing, it shouldn't matter. What's the point of actually buying better shoes? Gym does Zumba and most people just wear the normal workout shoes to the best of knowledge, in fact I think gym probably wouldn't permit it unless they were those black ones people used to wear for things like jiving and 50's stuff.

If you're talking about those then fair enough, but otherwise, if you're talking more the latino ballroom type of shoes, I'd say forget it, as I don't see how they would improve your moves, but they might possibly cause some kind of pain or increase the risk of calf and tendon issues.

I thought Zumba offers a whole line of workout clothing/ accessories, but I assume it's all for fun.

I do zumba every week and I wear regualr workout shoes. I never had any problems with it and instructor never said anything. I do see her have her own personal Zumba shoes. As a teacher, of course she would wear it. As for the rest of the class...regular workout shoes is fine. :D

I find Zumba shoes a bit pricey but incase you are interested in it... see sites below:

Marketing gimmick pure and simple. Next thing you know people will be marketing bokwa shoes, assuming that doesn't already happen, but any decent training shoe would almost certainly work for zumba, even a cross trainer and as long as what you wear gives you the freedom to move that you require, with no blister or chafing risk, or any possible tendonitis risk, then there is no problem I feel.

I've done zumba before and basically you're dancing/aerobics. Just get a pair of shoes that are comfortable, lightweight and flexible.

So therefore brothel creepers might cut the mustard but winkle pickers and crocs would not .

To be honest though Crocs don't cut the mustard in any set of circumstances anyone could ever find themselves in.

As soon as she discovers she doesn't have two left feet, she'll be asking for a right shoe to go with the left one, as two left shoes won't be needed
