Left calf bigger than right calf

Post by OfficeGirl »

I've noticed this about myself the last couple weeks. I kind of think it might have always been that way, but left calf is bigger than right calf. I know bodies aren't symetrical, but this is noticeable. Any tips for balancing myself back out a bit? I do calf raises with equal weight every other day. Does it have anything to do with being left-handed? Everyone has a dominant side of the body, right?

Well this will happen potentially because of one side of your body being more dominant than the other, however the one thing you could do, is when you do calf raises, use about 75% of the weight you use on the weaker calf to train the stronger one, which would then cause a disparity in the growth rate of both muscles.

You would be using enough weight on the stronger calf to probably maintain size or make it go up a little, but the weaker calf would be getting more stimulus, ergo it should grow faster.

When the calves level out, then use equal amounts of weight on both calves

Thanks, Boss Man. I'll give that a try and see if I can even out.
