mixing plyometrics and weight training

hi all, im new this.........im going to start a weight training programme with plyometrics, im thinking of doing sumthing like squats then depth jumps or explosive step ups, calf raises then ankle bounds....bench press then medicine ball push press against wall and so on. Thing is iv never tried a workout like this and im wondering about sets reps etc if any has any ideas???? Thanx , Ian.

what are your goals?? have you done any plyo stuff before???

i want to be more explosive and increase muscle mass.....especially calfs!! does the programme i sugested sound alright??

- it will help with explosiveness
- calves are mostly geneitc so if they're not big now they probably won't be much bigger in the future
- plyo type training can prime the body for mass gains LATER not during from activating more muscle fibres
- search Complex Training which is what you described

Look for a book called "Core Performance" at your local Boarders Bookstore or Waldens Bookstore look/read some of the book at the store and you'll find everything you need there.
