Eating right?

I have a few questions about eating right. I'll go through a normal day of eating.

Morning: bowl of cereal(Cheerios, fruit loops, whatever I'm in the mood for) , fruit, and water with some whey protein

Snack on fruits through out the day.

Lunch I usually eat like chicken helper or hamburger helper and stuff like that. Just a normal meal. Fruits veggies and water

Then for supper it's pretty much the same as lunch.

Nothing extreme on the dieting part I'm just wondering if eating like this an working out if I'll see results still.

I've gotten the impression that if I don't have a strict diet like they do on the workout programs then I won't get results.

I work 9 hours at a lumber yard and walk around and lift lumber all day. I'm just curious if going to the gym will still get me in shape.

Sorry I can explain any of this better. I'm a beginner on the whole diet and exercise ordeal. Any help would be awesome... Thank you

Basically long story short...I don't follow a strict diet but I'm not pigging out on unhealthy food all day. I have a cookie here and there. Have a few drinks on the weekend. Just eat like the average guy. I'm jut wondering if lifting weights and such will help me transform body

(The fruit and water with whey is a good option, but if you're having cereal I'd go for the Cheerios, as they'd be the better option I think versus the fruit Loops. You could then still have some whey or you could get your protein from things like ham, turkey, chicken, beef or eggs as examples.)

(I'd increase the protein intake here, but you could add other things in here like peanuts and low fat cheese as opposed to flesh, but they contain carbs so be careful not to over do it on the carbs, so you might be wise to avoid carb rich fruits like large bananas, apples and pears.)

(I'd bin those helper foods, as some of them have partially hydrogenated oils, the hamburger ones with the word beef in the product title, have beef fat and beef stock listed in the ingredients, but no actual beef and the tuna ones have no tuna listed in the ingredients and they could be a lot worse in relation to salt, fat and carb content, but they could be better, as there's too many added things and the "p h oil", is a concern with some of them.

You could quite easily use a flesh source and combine it with a vegetable source, or cook some foods together that have protein and carbs in them, like rice and mushrooms, peas and lentils etc, or mix one of those with a protein and a carb source, like beef, rice and carrot as an example.)


(Mid-afternoon snack same as the morning one, options wise, but there are plenty of things, you can use as partial or whole snacks, like microwave soup, rice and baked bean dishes, vegetables like pineapple, carrot sticks and celery sticks, fruits including tomatoes and cucumbers, oat granolas, pre-boiled eggs, nuts, peanuts and low fat cheese as mentioned earlier, low fat / sugar yoghurt, sandwiches and beef, ham, turkey and chicken from a packet, so there's plenty of choice for you anyway.)

Then for supper it's pretty much the same as lunch.

(Then choose the same sort of options outlined)

(Yes because you could lift weights which could improve the quality of your body composition when done right. I could assist you with a basic outline of a lifting routine, or you could consult a member of gym staff if you went there, as I use one kind of routine, but people in gyms sometimes use another types.)

That actually helps a lot. I've been looking into a weight lift program and it's the Taylor lautner workout...I wanna put on muscle but I really wanna lose fat and drop weight to about 170... How can I do that if on the workout it tells Nero eat more but for weight loss t says to eat less. I mean if I don't eat like a weight lifter will I even gain muscle?

You are clearly eating pretty healthy. If you are concerned about calories or sugar you may want to watch how many fruits you take in throughout the day. You could consider switching those with Greek yoghurt or cottage cheese. As far as working out goes, you should get started with lifting weights and see how your body reacts. Make sure that you understand the exercises and go from there.
