Natural or just wrong.......

Post by anima »

Hi, I think I have a problem... I'm not sure if it's natural improvement or something i'm doing wrong..

I've been doing dumbell military press 20 each for deltoids once a week , then next week i went on to 30, then the week after, i went to 40... now, is this a normal increase in relative to time???? i mean is it normal to increase 10 pounds per week? every time i increase, i do the same sets/reps i did last week, so let say 6reps/4sets ..

it can be done...some reason may be...

* you haven't hit your max wt yet
* if you just started wts, rapid increases like this can happen but will taper off sooner or later
* just make sure technique is perfect as cheating might be involved without you actually knowing. this is why a mirror is actually useful
* make sure the last rep of the last set is all that you could do

i wouldn't call it a problem there's plenty who would love to be in your position

lats / outer back - any pull up / chin up / pulldown variation

mid back / mid and low traps / rhomboids - any row variation

focus on both for better development
