Bodybuilding competitions
Hi, I'm new to forums. Would like to connect with other NPC and INBA competitors. Or anyone interested in competing.
Re: Bodybuilding competitions
Welcome! I am a competitor in the NPC/ men's BB-ing. It looks like you compete in bikini, when is your next show?

next NPC show is March 28th in Sacramento. The Governor's Cup. I'm also competing in Vegas in April, INBA. It will be forst professional competition. I'm midway through training now...carb cycling

Re: Bodybuilding competitions
Hi Kim nice to have you on board.
That's an interesting choice to do the carb cycling, out of interest why did you choose that method over say limiting carbs or having carbs with alternate meals, was it through research, personal experience or some other reason?
As for competing in your first pro competition in your 50's, serious kudos for that, because you look really beautiful, healthy and young and it's proof positive that you're never to old for this kind of thing.
Maybe if you have some spare time, you'd like to share the backstory about getting into fitness, then competing and eventually turning pro, it would no doubt be an interesting read

Re: Bodybuilding competitions
I have a coach and nutritionist that plan meals and training. No since I've competing several times I would like to find out different strategies to make body better. I was fairy fit when I started, body fat 21%. I now hover between 10-14% even when I'm not training for a show. I train with women half age but don't have to work as hard to get results. I guess body just really loves this stuff
I'd welcome the opportunity to share experience with others. I'm still learning more about the process.

Well we'd really like to have you sharing your thoughts on this and other things besides, whenever you get the time
.
We have had people who have competed posting on here before and drifting in and out. Currently no one else who does compete that I know of is posting here, except for Alinshop I believe, but I know a poster called Milly who was here earlier, has toyed with the idea before and she's actually older than you, but whether she will I don't know.
Though there may be others in the future and like I say your input and experience will always be welcome anytime and I say GOOD LUCK with the next show in Sacramento and seeing you living a great physical goal like you're doing and creating a wonderful living artwork, (your physique), is something that makes me feel proud of you Kim, for not settling for second best and showing people what the maturing lady can represent and if you need any added motivation, we will be here to give you a little push or some words of support anytime and please do keep us updated, because anybodies physical goals and dreams, as long as they are healthy and physically proactive like yours, are our wish for them and we will always support a persons goals as much as is possible no matter who they are

Vegas will be fun. You should have no problem finding a smorgasbord of food to eat after the show!

Sounds like your prep will be easier than most since you stay so lean in your off season.
