Losing weight while eating "bad" foods?

Post by Sarah305 »

Hi everyone - I'm new to this forum but have been lurking for a very very long time!! I just wanted to add some value here!

If you're trying to lose weight, consider eating a cheat meal a couple times per week. Don't go over-board, but if you do it right you will increase your Leptin hormones (makes you feel full) and reduce Ghrelin (makes you hungry), Cortisol (stress and responsible for raising glucose metabolism, aka turns sugar to fat), and your T3/T4 hormones, which are what controls your overall metabolism.

It's very interesting stuff but it works - I learned it from The Fitness Foundation diet and lost over 60 pounds from it.

Just make sure you don't go overboard when you have a cheat meal - and I personally always stayed away from fried foods (too much science supporting how bad it is for your body).

Thanks for the awesome community!! Looking forward to being part of it,

Sarah :D

Ghrelin also affects growth hormones as well which eminate from the pituitary gland, but I recall the pituitary also exerts influence on the thyroid and possibly the parathyroid as well, so there will be some influence on the T3 and T4 hormones as well as calcitonin that helps to control calcium usage.
